Surprisingly good interims at first look this morning. 2.1p adjusted EPS in H1 means they're likely to smash forecasts of 3.3p EPS. Nice long-term work in Canary Wharf revealed too. with around £18k bought in two buys. Nice share price bounce recently. With forecasts still at 1.8p EPS this year and 1.9p EPS next year, plus a cash pile for more acquisitions, this still looks extremely cheap assuming trading remains on track as per the results outlook.

AKR definitively say that Q4 "is expected to be profitable", and that the rest of the $2.5m Chinese order will be received this quarter. So these things had better happen. I suspect when/if they announce the receipt of the Chinese cash the share price may go a fair bit higher. Absolutely superb H1 results just out - with 5.6p EPS in H1 (up 24% on last year) CAR look set to smash forecasts given that: (1) the directors expect the company "to have a stronger second half of the financial year" (2) CAR will benefit much more in H2 from currency fluctuations than they did in H1 If CAR make 12p-13p EPS this year they'll be on a single-digit P/E: Http://www.investegate.co.uk/carclo-plc--car-/rns/half-year-report/201611150700061469P/ As for bond yields, we may find that the dividend situation and the pension deficit increase have completely reversed by the year end. This is what Paul Scott reported on his blog yesterday: "Bond yields seem to have been an even bigger mover than equities, rising strongly. I spoke to one UK company CEO last week, who told me that their pension deficit had shrunk by a quarter in just one month (October)." The share price really should be back at 140p and upwards as a minimum given that all 3 divisions are performing so well - and that their prospects going forward look just as good.

Currently I can only buy a maximum 7,500 at 100.99p, whilst I can sell at least 45,000 at a big premium (almost the mid-price) at 99.75p.

Without giving out a formal trading statement, read this below - even the CEO is now telling us that things are at the least not as bad as the share price is telling us, and at best are positively encouraging. I suspect this is one of those situations I've regularly seen over the years, where an institutional shareholder sells out over a long time ridiculously and inefficiently by dripping out stock at regular intervals until the holding gets small enough to sell at any price just to get it off the books. SOM are still barely on a double-digit P/E based on Finncap's 18.33p EPS forecast for the coming year (which may be increased substantially following the dollar's strength against the pound). Given what we can assume is now reasonable certainty for the next 4 years about increased infrastructure spending in the core USA market - plus the likelihood of further inroads in the vast markets of China and India - it might now be a very interesting ride going forward for SOM.

Nice 40k buy at 23p caused a tick up. I'd have thought Trump's focus on increased defence spending would be good for SIM, with the likes of Lockheed Martin, the US Air Force etc as clients.
