Longevity of electrodes plays a huge part though along with lower manufacturing costs As I said I was baffled that they were happy to do deals at 1 year longevity so I am presuming if that were the case there would have been profit as I guess a company could not survive if they were installing kit left right and centre if they had to pay for the privilege. Good points raised on wind and solar etc. It is a shame that these "deals" did not materialise.

The 2 year and 4 year longevity. I think my memory is correct but 3 years ago they wanted to get to 1 year longevity this then increased to 2 then 4. If there were deals to be had at one year where are they? Nickel was substituted etc so costs came down even with 1 year longevity. I guess all I can conclude is there were not really deals at 1 year.

has changed for the large drop? Surely if there was news we should have been notified via an RNS. I know this is the AIM market but i feel if there was news good or bad we would have been notified. I feel there is nothing significant that has happened at AFC. Time will tell

So if AFC get this right they have the run at a pretty huge market? I thought there were more competitors I guess they will come to the table in time but for now lets hope the early bird ... and all that

I guess those who say this is not news / or insignificant news would rather this information was not released ...why? Damned if they do.... why knock this RNS is it bad news ? No so what is the problem.... I would hate to live in your world...

Market does anyone know how many direct competitors AFC have? (I appreciate some will not be known yet) but just curious

Fair point Rooky although from what I understand of them they are not binding so are in the end no more than a peice of paper. Nice to hear there is interest at the time but that is no more than it is. Shame though

I have to say I did not expect this SP. Is anyone worried something is amiss? If AB said there was going to be a load of news in the last qtr of last year I wonder what he was referring to as so far just one contract. I guess no news is not bad news but does make one wonder.

I am interested to know when people phone AFC who they ask to speak to and what is their question. I have to admit I am surprised that someone on the end of the phone at AFC actually goes into any detail. Can any one who has phoned explain. Not that I am doubting you but just curious. Thanks.

For me Junior its the deNora warranty.

Why sell now? SP probably will not go much lower surely the only way is up. OK may be in a while but I think you may regret selling now especially after waiting so long. Why not keep a few...you never know...

I have to agree with Echoes. When I first came on board a few years back AFC were working on a 1 year longevity plan then it went to 2 years and now 4 is being mooted. If the costs have been reduced dramatically in some areas of production surely the 1 to 2 years longevity will turn a profit now as things have improved I may be missing something and am more than happy to be corrected.
