Thanks for the explanation, but I hope that never happens a 24p drop would be over doing it!! And I hope for a small a drop as possible and if the markets get good news none at all like the last ex dividend in April.

Panthro. Why would you sell tomorrow morning and buy back tomorrow night? They will have already dropped by there ex dividend price in the morning unless you think they are going to rise the rest of the day ?

Not for me to give advice but TW seem to stay round the same price over the last year 203pish so with the three dividends not bad over the last year and a bigger dividend to come next year myself I dip in and out and am lucky to get back in at a good price bought half of my latest shares at 186p so hoping for a good start on Thursday and not too bigger ex dividend drop, but I think that depends on the markets in general ?

Hi Tom hope TW hold up after ex dividend would like to sell half and get more BP shares seeing the drop in oil price and the share price they pay their dividend quarterly! And also Vodafone if possible, and yes got rid of some itv shares myself last week so the drop back today is not too bad for me, Thursday looks to be the big day for decisions, so just an onlooker at the moment !

FT down 109 points stop worrying about one company and hope for a recovery on the markets and an upturn for the rest of the week pushing all shares up once again.

Markets down today, if they start to rise near the end of the week with it pulling all shares up could be a good thing for TW ex dividend and not to bigger drop, for all who think it's going to have a big post dividend drop May be it's the time to get out ? Myself I will be holding on for at least a few days, at least with these shares you can get back in any time and not have to spend a fortune doing so.

Afraid TW are the same as all shares they have all pulled back by world events and the American market! But today seems to be the start of a bit of recovery on all shares and the markets, so with two trading days left before ex dividend we could still see a rise?

Nige, Barclays was another bank that did not get bailed out .

Tom yes have thought of moving but it is taking up to six months for Barclays to move accounts and once you start the process your locked out of your account and can not deal , everything was fine till last August when they changed it to smart investors account don't think they are very smart now!

Will keep an eye on the price today finally got my Barrett dividend and hope the itv one is in my account tomorrow hope the rest of the market picks up before the long weekend ?
