eegasie, good luck to you! But please DYOR on Xaar. I am not holding shares in this company right now, but you were looking for interesting companies to research. I think they are interesting.
eatstocks, I think you are right. It would be a shame to sell with the average I’m holding. Any move upwards is profit for me.
I will be watching Xaar with interest over the coming weeks.

Eatstocks, thanks Ok, I see your point now.
To diversify now (without selling Capita) would mean drawing on more savings. I’m not prepared to risk that without learning more about share investment first. I got very lucky with Xaar (my first investment) and am cautious of this giving me a false sense of security.
I would love to diversify eventually, but to do that I need to make more profit.
I’m hopeful of Capita doing this, but look now at Xaar dropping 25% and it got me thinking.

Where did I ask for financial advice? I asked for views on why a stock has dropped approx 25% on what I would consider good news?
I’m trying to learn.

People like me? I watched my initial investment more than half after Covid hit and then more than double. That was over 11 months. Hardly a ‘quick move’ or ‘rush’?

I only started trading Oct 2019.
I bought Xaar shares. I knew people who had worked for them. The feeling was they had been mis-managed.
A new CEO was appointed (I had worked for him and felt he would pull things around)
I sold way too early!! But I was happy with 100% +
Now, interestingly they have dropped 25% in last 3 days ( on the back of what I would consider fair/good/realistic news) I’m sorely tempted to buy back in and have another go. To do that I would sell my Capita shares (I’m about even right now, a small loss)
Might be worth a look? Perhaps others could offer why this is down 25%?

Well, we’ve had ESS sale.
Had Brexit.
Have news of more vaccine imminently available.
Had a chance of a Santa Rally.
Had continuous news of contracts awarded.
And here we are.
I am hoping we get a positive profit in the next Q!
I haven’t seen anything else helping this share move upwards.
Hope to see it move the right way soon (and stay there!!!!)

Added today and doubled my holding, which increased my average SP to 37p.
Sit back now patiently and wait 12 mths then review (unless it hits 1.50!)

Vaccine approved and ready to go as early as next week. Hopefully good news for the population and the FTSE.

I’m in the same situation Eats. In @32.8p, watched with horror for weeks as the price dipped into low 20’s and now with some profit, hanging on. Dare not sell. Been waiting for ESS. If ESS sells tomorrow I need to be invested...... Can you imagine missing out after holding all these weeks!
