End me !
Great posts, love the confidence and I echo your sentiments.
You'd imagine the only way these big guys can get a return is through special divis or sale of company well above their average.
Jim Mellon stated again today on a Master Investor Webinar that Juv should list in the next 6 months.
Still under the radar here. Good performance, great manager, ,huge cash pile, ftse100 possible and the SPAC could go very well indeed for PSH... and still the 30% discount continues. This will change in the near term IMHO.
Great update on the website today. Future looks great with loads of value to come from possible ftse 100 inclusion to enormous value to PSH from the SPAC. Cannot believe how this continues under the radar at 32% discount to nav.
After initially being disappointed then confused, I'm now happy to increase my holding and will buy more on any dips. The future is bright if you can wait.
Sold it's holding in Berkshire and small holdings in Park Hotels and Blackstones.
Huge cash pile waiting for better opportunities, always interesting here.
Hedges removed and buying aggressively to the tune of $2.5 billion according to U.S financial news sites.
42% discount to nav. Bill Ackman has played a blinder here with that hedging. If he times his exit right this will fly.
SP has tailed off slightly lately widening the discount somewhat. A little more and I'm in for a top up,especially if there's some company action.
On today's NAV the price would have to increase over 35% to reach nav. That's some great companies at a huge discount. Easiest hold ever for me.
...since last post but this has done well the past year, more to come from PSH with it's great pf on close to 25% discount and a buy back in operation. Some great companies on sale 25% cheaper than going direct.
Strange to see Harwood WM bought out for 8% less than last SP. Chris Mills with 30million quid burning a hole in his pocket now.
If I was him I'd buy a load of NAS while it's at a nice discount :)
Close to £1m worth of shares bought for cancellation, still trying to narrow that large discount. Happy holder here :)
Commenting on the Disposal, CEO Lorne Abony noted, "The partial sale of the Company's interest in Vemo is the Company's first exit from an investment in 2019. The Board believes further investments can be realized during the course of 2019 and intends to reinvest the proceeds in the medicinal cannabis sector, furthering FFWDs investment focus on life science, health and technology." Sounds like future monetisation will also be invested in medical cannabis going by the last sentence, that's a positive to take away I suppose. I'm so far underwater I'm literally clutching at anything within reach.
Got a feeling VemoEd will come before Factom.
After attending MI today I have renewed confidence in Ffwd, and I don't mean that to be anything but a gut feeling. Ed McDermott is a sound bloke and spoke in glowing terms about the portfolio (as you would expect) and I get the feeling we haven't seen the last of Ffwds investment in Emmac, though that could be subject to monetisation of other portfolio investees (my opinion). Don't get me wrong, Ed gave nothing away ( believe it or not he's very professional) but I honestly believe this portfolio is destined to become what we all thought it could be. One last thing on Ed, Ffwd is not his biggest involvement by any stretch but he still believes in it just like he believes in Emmac (which probably is his biggest involvement) and he's a lot more switched on than some give him credit for. Dismiss me as a sycophant if you like but I know where my hard earned is.
Done.
150k was a buy.
