Into double figures %age rise in Sweden. Hope it holds.
The actions of Joseph Putin ( and other autocratic leaders) shows the importance of controlling, as much as possible, primary resource and production within your own borders. Hopefully this strengthens the case for Kallak not weakens it.
Gatwick announces it's opening the south terminal as flights ramp up. Hopefully good for us.
I'm with ii and completed the form online-might depend on which broker you are with.
Baylan used 'due process' to delay I believe Thor is doing so to ensure his yes decision is bomb proof.
Yep. If you look at the trading patterns in Sweden over the past month there have always been dips on a Friday. If none or minimal today then hopefully that reflects positive sentiment into next week.
Never understood the need for an algorithm to tell if a trade is a buy or sell. When I trade I have to hit a buy or sell button, unknown or please don't tell anyone button is not an option. Perhaps the system was invented by a politician.
And that too Suzy. A few of us have been consistently optimistic about getting the concession so to jump ship now when we seem to be closer than ever would be obtuse. Personally I don't think a yes is factored into the current share price so I would anticipate a healthy rise if a positive decision is made. Staying in could be labelled as greed but for me its more the frustration of missing the rise on a positive result after all this time, albeit that I have thought about de-risking on a few occasions recently., but have resisted. As always GLA.
Sweden might need all the steel it can produce to build tanks to resist that nice Mr Putin.
Genuinely do not understand the strategy here. So far as existing shareholders are concerned the company is pretty well finished with regards to its current value and the claimants are now reliant on these same shareholders to fund their claim. I for one will have to think long and hard about investing further and would only do so if I saw a chance of recovering all losses. The company and Putin seem to be on a similar strategy.
Was he Antti mine. Sorry terrible pun.
Fingers crossed, dipped my toe into the water again.
Gambier, are you suggesting that politicians, even in Sweden, might dissemble, mislead even lie! Well I'll go to the foot of my stairs. Have a good weekend all. Its my party and I'll lie if I want to.
Not shaping up well in Sweden so far.
Firstly it has been stated that the lifespan of the mine is expected to be much longer as the resource will be larger than the current JORC assessment. Secondly, should we read into Hakan's statement that the Sami would prefer to have a mine with a much longer lifespan. I'm sure we can help him on that.
Inflation, council tax, gas prices, food-TILS seems to be the only thing not going up!
That's interesting Suzy. Good to see the rule of law has considerable weight in Sweden.
sj, Bolidens is a somewhat different situation than Kallak, It was the Mining Inspectorate that refuse the concession (not the case with Kallak) and was appealed. I assume the appeal has failed. Mining has already taken place at Boliden in the past but the company need to expand the mining area. I don't know the details of the refusal but they can no doubt be researched. Below is an extract from their website:
However, in December 2016 Boliden’s application for the mining concession at Laver was rejected by the
Swedish Mining Inspectorate. Boliden has subsequently appealed this decision to the
Swedish Government. The Swedish Government has given no prognosis on the timing of a decision.
Good point sj.
Suzy, yep I meant Kallak as a whole-there should be no impediment to putting both N&S into a new corporate entity. As long as they don't make a mess of it as Tiziana has!
