Am I right in thinking voting is tomorrow? Do we know when we’re likely to hear the outcome? I’m expecting (hoping for) a few chunky RNS once that’s out of the way.
Haha - sorry. I didn’t mean to come across as harsh. I love your updates!
Lloydie do you check the value of your house on zoopla every day and go out and shout it about on the street, and what about the depreciation on your car, and inflation reducing the value of your English pounds?
I’m surprised you’re not quoting inflation rates to demonstrate how we’re actually worse off. You may also want to add in opportunity costs, if you’d invested in bitcoin with those monies etc etc
I agree Dave, disappointed by the share price but hugely encouraged for the future. It’s kind of like your team buying five of the hottest prospects in football, not playing them and the team languishing at the bottom of the league. You desperately want them to play but know that they should only be picked when they’re completely ready for optimal results whilst the coaches are putting in the efforts behind the scenes! Still more and more a cracking buy for me!

Hi sub, I know I should know this but what’s bronco? I’ve read it twice today and racking my brains but can’t remember?
Fadec, please keep me posted on roadworks across the US! It may delay our projects and therefore “costed me money”! Lol Surely you would only post that kind of comment for this reaction?! No one can actually be that much of a plonker?!
And yet you haven’t answered the question? Are you that selfless an investor that you don’t want to even remotely look for a positive to get you to your break even point to sell out in the fear of being called a ramper, or you’re just another troll
JJAL, if I remember correctly you were saying you’d wait to get to breakeven (ca 24p) and then sell up. Why then so negative? I completely get the frustrations but your approach seems counterintuitive? If I were in your shoes I’d be looking forward to any possible news that would get me to that target. You just seem to poopoo anything remotely positive that will get you to your end game?
Yeah I’m sure people were saying amazon were doomed back in 2001 at $5 a share after having hit a bubble at $100 back in 1999
Not to mention the change in wording regarding enhanced recovery “advanced donm racial discussions for full commercialisation”!!
Obviously this price is not what we’d want however I’m not so negative. Read numerous BB’s from large caps - VOD, TW through to the minnows and growth stocks such as XLM, EVRH and us obviously, and general investor sentiment is down at present. Regularly I read “getting to my break even and out”, will stick to FTSE100, only buying funds now. Perhaps it’s a combination of Brexit, looming trade wars, the crypto bubble that’s affecting sentiment at a macro level, I don’t know, however for me nothing yet has changed our fundamentals at a micro level. Fortunately I don’t need my investment cash for a good while, but I’m still very comfortable based upon what I know at present.
But it Mr 50k sold out at 24p and 22p and 20p and then buys back at 17.2p they make a nice sum.
We hit 24p just six weeks ago
One of our theories is the buy low and sell in the low 20s and then rinse repeat. I’d love it to be a genuine steak builder but it could be that crew?
The company has as we know created a new subsidiary. Do you think we may undertake a rebranding exercise as we move more mainstream and to disassociate ourselves from some of the historic issues that seem to be quoted as to why investors stay away?
I’m reading Ben Graham’s Intelligent Investor at the moment. The parallels just could not be any clearer. It is startling how under the radar we are and I think HNR really is a good example of where the little guy can beat the big guys in terms of research, exposure etc. I follow quite a few small caps, all of which regularly feature in SCSW, Investors Chronicle, Motley Fool etc. Even though they’re not even cash generative. No mention for HNR in any publication. We will get there though and those with the patience will reap the rewards!
You do know what smug means or does English also happen to be your third language? I’m not sure how my comment regarding TSB and premium bonds is being smug; it was more a reflection on your investment mentality and perhaps you needing more of a safer option. I don’t need these funds for a minimum of five years and even then won’t need them. So I’ll just sit, wait, buy, repeat.
Yeah I’m thinking TSB’s 5% paying current account or premium bonds may be better suited for them!
