They didn't lie. There have been global logistics issues that got worse as the year went on. Why do you think ASOS's share price is less than half of what it was 6 months ago.

It's really fkin simple.
Shipping and logistically are currently impacted globally.
The more sensitive a stock is to this the more their share price has suffered and the more likely they were to miss any prior guidance.
This doesn't mean the directors of all these companies lied.

So many back-seat driving plebs on this board who probably aren't capable of wiping their own backsides properly yet talk as if they could run a company better than anyone on the planet.

WolfOfWarks - I'm not saying all accountants are bad, or bad CEOs, hence Ronaldo in my first point, some of the best CEOs are accountants (maybe they're the exceptions that prove the rule), it's just that someone having done some accountancy isn't proof of much, other than having the patience to endure some quite tedious lessons ;)

I disagree. I don't like it.

Cancelling options with a realistic exercise price and replacing them with ones that have targets based on something other than the share price.

So basically, they can make money from them even if the share price does badly, which is stinky.

I would far rather have more options in existence, that need the share price to rise significantly to be exercised, than a smaller number of options which can be exercised at any share price, for nothing, even if the company performs badly for shareholders.

And if you read down this list's Skill's section it's got dan pictured to a T ;)

WolfOfWarks - having done some accountancy training doesn't make you smart or not. Some are thick as pigsh*t and some aren't. It's a bit like saying you had some football coaching. The person could be anything from a Sunday League clogger or they could be Ronaldo. I think dan's a lot closer to the clogger than Ronaldo based on the way he talks ;)

I like the way he thinks I won't be able to buy a listed stock. If I wanted to buy SHOE, I could do, but I don't want to, so I won't.

I'll clearly need to re-state my earlier post because it's clear people aren't getting the message....

The "buys/sells" aren't reported full stop.
There's no such thing as a buy or a sell....and they're all just going from one place to another.
The "buy" or "sell" indicator or color is just made up afterwards as a guess - based on whether it's a trade above or below the mid-price of the spread.
So stop counting the the buys versus sells, it's pointless, doesn't tell you anything, and is just a calculation on numbers that are inherently flawed, and that's without getting into delayed trades / background orders etc.

Shoezone - and what does all that add up to...a loss of well over10 million quid last year on revenue ten times that. Yeah great.

Pokerchips - again I agree that's probably the case. I suspect, however, that the boohoo demographic/following in particular aren't going to be quite as dented from buying dresses (and everything else) as perhaps an old fogey might think (of which I'm probably closer to being than a boohoo customer). As it really should be underestimated how wedded a lot of young people are to image/clothes (more than most of us could ever fathom). I'd love to be able to find it again but I came across a tweet where some girl/woman was basically joking they'd sacrifice food for clothes (and the tone was that it was more truth than joke!). I think there's a lot of things that the significant chunk of the demographic in question would sacrifice ahead of clothes. Nutters - but that seems to be the way of the world currently.

Knowbodyyouknow - no, actually this was good for boohoo/next/asos etc, and why next had a bumper xmas period.
