Of course. Just with the US having a bee in its bonnet - this latest "woopsie" only helps their case sadly. An excuse for a bit of commie bashing and leverage for pressure on others.

With the plane going down to make things worse I didn't like the added risk so sadly closed my spread today and just have to keep myself content with what I made from the small rise from 13.5. I suspect it'll be one I regret but playing things a bit more prudently these days and can't complain at profit even if it's less than I'd like or was expecting. (I'm now in that weird situation in hoping you all do well - but also not as it'll peeve me :p)

The EU can't afford to do that. It's why they've been nowhere near as strong with sanctions already. You don't bite the hands that feeds you (or in this case keeps the lights on).

It's one of those things that'll probably not really make any difference to this but as a headline reaction would always be expected to cause a minor wobble. Enough to temporarily nobble a little rising trend in this case. Will probably fade away again soon enough and hopefully then good news on the well(s) will be released.

It's a murky world. I think I could make a pretty good case that not paying any attention to the trade feed and order book would be better than trying to read anything into them ;)

Orders can be split into chunks manually or by automated software. Or it could be a trading bot working on an algorithm. Various possibilities.

Would be very nice to break and hold above 20p before news.

Probably because there's a good chance you'll find out something more important before then - ie how the horizontal drill has gone.

Good thing about this is the low amount of shares not already in the hands of major holders. Already moving up nicely on minimal volume. Missed the boat "fitzy"? :p

Progressing nicely so far. Little uptrend seems to be forming (or have formed).

I thought/hoped there would be a little recovery, as I alluded to the other day, as we come into July, since news is expected at some point from the first horizontal. Now if it's a good result it could get very interesting ;)

Does rather look to have bounced off 12.5p and settled into a little uptrend. Didn't quite get it perfectly with the 13.5p buy but not too bad so far. With July imminent news of the first horizontal well could be fairly close, which may, in part, be the reason it's starting to move up now.

Apologies for the laziness, but to save myself some time digging, does anyone happen to know: - If the company is expected to give drilling updates as it progresses or just at TD / after testing? - When TD is likely to be and how long they expect for testing of a well of this type?

Yeah, I had spare money in the account to exploit thanks to RRL's recovery, figured the downside (using SB) was reasonable for the potential reward and a decent looking entry point at present. If things don't go well you've got to have it in mind that it's a write-off but realistically there's going to be a significant period of time when you're not likely to lose that much (even if it doesn't rise immediately). So from the current SP I weigh the risk/reward/potential in a favourable enough way to take the punt obviously ;)

Afternoon G. Read your piece. Interesting enough that I've taken a position after a little more reading around. Consider it a highly speculative punt with a lot of risk but then the last time I did that (RMP) I did very well out of it ;) With the price depressed pre-horizontals, they have the potential to significantly improve things, if all goes well and therefore could be a good time to get in hence the punt.
