My understanding is that a CE mark is for the actual product.

What you call the product is up to the owner of the product.

Happy to be corrected but fully expecting the Affidx Sars cov2 rapid antigen test to be on sale this month.

2) They have a manufacturing subsidiary (GAD) that will be paid to manufacture.

The value of an IP asset represents the potential future economic benefits to the IP owner or authorized user. Value can be derived through:

direct exploitation of the IP by integrating it within a product

sale or licensing of the IP to a third party

other means, such as raising barriers to entry or reducing the threat of substitutes

Under the first one, affimers are integrated into the LFT and precision is integrated into the cancer warhead.

Under the second one, there are numerous licensing deals already in place showing that the IPs are desirable assets.

They haven't needed to use the third one.

In terms of value, this then comes down to market size and market share. Both the pandemic and cancer are worldwide markets, any share of which will be huge plus whatever markets the companies renting the IP are in via royalties.

Comparisons with old tape cassettes are not a sensible way to look at intellectual property values.
