The significance of not only today's announcement on the first payment and the additional €1.65 million should not be underestimated. I have seen very little comment on this since the RNS here? Enerox is going to be a primary supplier to may VRFB OEM's with technology as well as specific products for specific markets. If Bushveld Energy's stratergy and work so far is correct then this business based in Europe could easily be worth over a significant percentage of Bushveld Energy and Bushveld Minerals going forward. The growth could easily in 3 to 5 years value Enerox or Bushveld Enerox as it will become in 2020 in excess of 200 to 300 million euro. Why because it has the potential to be the primary equipment supplier to multiple VRFB companies in Europe and North America let alone Africa! This could be one of those key moments when the market has no idea what Fortune and Mikhail have done. You can see from the market reaction here and even the lack of interest on this board that most have no clue what the implications are for this business.

UET
Voltstorage
Potentially others too with technology and electrolyte with scale reducing the manufacturing costs, the timing for VRFB assembly in SA Africa just in time for the BESS announcements could not be better. Why would they put so much money in so quickly if there was not a very quick turn around on that investment? Fortune has a history of making astute investments at critical times.

The summary in the RNS gives hints:
"The Enerox investment is part of Bushveld Minerals' strategy of partnering with VRFB Original Equipment Manufacturers ("OEMs") that includes the supply of vanadium and electrolyte, deployments and investment. The investment strategy is implemented through the VIP, which seeks to make significant minority investments into high potential VRFB OEMs. The VIP allows for the flow of investment into VRFB OEMs and provides investors with access to the rapidly growing energy storage market."
The Enerox Purchase is worth 5p today and will be worth 30 to 40p of the SP in 2 to 3 years time.
Investors should not miss what is happening here. Don't look at today's SP look at what the company is delivering! The strategy is unbelievable and what is even more astonishing is investors are missing the full picture! Sorry folks but this may jump very quickly once the market realises what this company is doing. The BESS tender really could be a an order value of anything from $200 million up to $500 million over the next 18 months, that is huge, we have the vanadium, we have the potential to produce electrolyte we will have the technology and VIP partners who can produce and assemble the plant quickly!

Opening we look to be going up! No live price quoted but blue!

Would really like a nice Christmas RNS just to give us a tonic!

Well multiple mini-grids across SA would be a huge help, to communities and business and especially mines. The sooner they change the legislation to allow the power generation and energy storage to be sized correctly then this can begin!
It would also be rather good for Bushveld Energy and its solar and wind partners!

Next six to twelve months:
- Mokopane Licence and Offtake agreements with detail on DFS in Q3/Q4 2020
- Details on the BESS project for Eskom funded by the World Bank with a large stake of the contract with a SA based business....Bushveld Energy could fit the bill...
- Update on Lemur progress and the future of that business
- Bushveld Energy with a time table for the East London Electrolyte plant
- Bushveld Energy announcement of new projects
- Bushveld Energy completion of due diligence and progress with Enerox GmbH
- JSE Listing and changes to the UK market listing
- Q4 Updates and record production months at Vametco
- Q4 news on progress at Vanchem with productivity updates for the plant
- Global announcements on VRFB projects that will give a large market opportunity
for Bushveld Minerals to move to a point not previously thought possible

Finally an end to the negative SP depreciation leading to investors doubting all their well-researched efforts and finally a reward to long term investment with a much greater confidence and a strong and well-founded rise in our stock price!

Anyone else thinking we will get an RNS in the morning....I do.

Strong and will last very long! Are steel vanadium alloys the new Andrex?

The incredible strength of this business will mean that these short term positions will surely soon be a king way behind us.
After every aspect of great positioning it is remarkable we are not north of our peak. This company is doing everything perfectly.

I am on my way to building a 5 million share holding here over the next 3 months.

This company has such potential to bring such large revenues over the next 2 to 3 years. The maths is so easy and the company has a very trustworthy board of directors.

It is one of the biggest potential upside businesses I can find.

Folks may be interested in the articles on Everflow from Schmid these are VRFB systems and they are on top of the game.

Small units are possible for home application! So you could buy your own VRFB for home energy storage. I have an enquiry in for one, but only if they can confirm the vanadium is supplied by Bushveld Minerals!

South Africa – Eskom to impose its biggest ever rolling power blackouts

State company Eskom produces nearly all of the nation’s electricity, however more than a quarter of the generating capacity has broken down.
Eskom announced on Monday that it would remove an unprecedented 6,000MW of demand from the grid, in a move known as stage 6 ‘load shedding’.
Last week, Eskom announced Stage 4 load shedding which saw 4,000MW of electricity shed due to losing 1/3 of the output from its fleet of ageing coal power stations, causing blackouts across South Africa (The South African).
A technical problem at the Medupi Power Station caused the elevation to stage 6 load shedding, exacerbated by heavy rains which caused operational problems at several power stations.
Medupi and a twin power station Kusile have a combined capacity of 9,600MW, however have been riddled with design flaws and the cost of the plants has doubled to $20bn.
Petra Diamonds has suspended operations at all of its mines in South Africa as a result of Eskom failing to provide electricity (mining.com).
Mining companies Harmony Gold, Impala Platinum, and Sibanye-Stillwater have been forced to cut production since Monday due to power shortages (Reuters).

Thanks Alfacomp! The opportunities this will open up for Bushveld Energy and the Vanadium Electrolyte supply chain could be huge! This is one of those pivotal moments in the true vertical integration of Bushveld Energy and Bushveld Minerals!

This could be the hub of the BESS project in SA!

Surely it will not be long till we see an RNS here confirming the purchase for Bushveld Energy and its partners.

Vanadium recycling

“The vanadium in your battery today can be the vanadium in your steel rebar tomorrow,” says Hilbert, noting that vanadium is fully recyclable and is already being undertaken, with many companies successfully reclaiming vanadium from electrolytes and turning it into a marketable product for the steel industry.

The Energy Storage Committee of Vanitec, which reports to the Vanitec Market Development Committee and oversees developments in the industry market for vanadium, is currently delving further into the aspect of vanadium recycling and has recently commissioned a white paper to investigate the ability to reuse and recycle vanadium in future.

Hilbert believes that reuse and recycling is key for the future of the vanadium electrolyte market, as vanadium electrolyte makes up 35% of the cost of a VRFB.

“We see many companies now looking at leasing vanadium electrolytes for VRFBs as a way to reduce the initial capital expenditure of a VRFB system installation, as the leasing of the electrolyte reduces overall capital costs, making VRFBs a more economical battery for storage systems.”

I wonder who will have one of the best recycling centres in the world for Vanadium Electrolyte - Bushveld Vanitec??

But the growth continues.... and from what we know Bushveld Minerals are in a very strong position:

The VRFB market status quo

There are currently 113 VRFB installations globally with an estimated capacity of over 209 800 kWh of energy. This is a significant increase in the handful of VRFB manufacturers just less than five years ago to 20 VRFB manufacturers in 2018.

“This has seen the use of vanadium in energy storage applications increase to 2.1%” says Hilbert.

The 92 000 t of vanadium produced and the 95 000 metric tons of vanadium consumed in 2018 was an all-time global record, says Hilbert, who goes on to say that the year-on-year figures for the first half of 2019 are even greater than those of 2018, which indicates a definite increase in vanadium demand which is being met by vanadium consumption.

Largest VRFB in the world under development

Large-scale deployments of VRFBs are underway across the globe, with many others being planned or under construction.

Chinese vanadium flow battery system manufacturer Rongke Power and its partner, US-based technology company UniEnergy Technologies, is underway with a project to build a 200 MW, 800 MWh VRFB in the Dalian high-tech zone in China’s Liaoning province - the largest chemical storage power station in the world.

The National Energy Administration approved the construction of the Dalian flow battery energy storage peak-load shifting power station in April 2016, and once fully commissioned, the VFB battery will be able to peak-shave approximately 8% of Dalian's expected load in 2020.

In addition, the large-scale battery will form an additional load centre, which will enhance grid stabilisation including securing the power supply and providing black-start capabilities in the event of an emergency.
