In life and in business there are good days and bad days. Many have experienced the rise from 5p to 28p over a period of time. Then what on the face of it for any normal company and RNS announcing that we have achieved a huge turn around from being a prospective minor to being a producer in a market which is going through the roof with a mineral which has the potential to change the world. We have a workforce in the plant which have achieved so much too and whom we should all be grateful for. But we are in a country with many political issues, as well as economic challenges for a people coming from great imbalance. But Bushveld Minerals have not only changed the company, brought in a good balanced management with a multicultural balance. They are contributing to the local economy and soon they will be floating on the local stock market to give everyone a chance to be owners in this amazing story which will be great for South Africa.
From our perspective and for many of the larger holders, the last couple of weeks can appear quite painful as one sees the value of your holding drop. But these SP drops, are only losses if you sell. If you hold as many are doing then these short-term fluctuations will balance out quickly and become huge profits. The fundamentals are still the same. The resource in our hands is huge, the ability to reinvest in further production capability, reinvest in additional production sites and new projects will come. We are on the verge of something incredible. Expansion to 5000 tonnes per year in 2019, with additional capacity beyond that likely in 2021 to nearer 10,000, way before any other company can reach this opportunity. This is huge, in a market which is growing and yet the actual resource being produced is restricted due to lack of other suppliers
Then we have the Electrolyte plant which will soon be built to bring the essential ingredient to the worlds up and coming energy revolution, the Vanadium Redox Flow Battery. We have already seen that not only being used for Grid but also available from early next year for peoples homes. This is a revolution in energy storage and we are sitting in pole position based on having two of the most influential guys in the vanadium world on our Board of Directors.
So whilst over the last two weeks we have seen the SP drop, these are those amazing chances to buy some more or get in. Why because over the next 6 to 12 months this is going to really pick up the pace and the news when it comes will be so positive. Let us not forget that in a years time the SP is likely to be well over a £1 and BMN is also highly likely to be paying dividends. So don't lose heart, don't sell up thinking the winds gone out of the sails. This company is all set once all the last few pieces of the jigsaw come together to go on to be a major talking point.
This is one amazing story and its still way off being fully told. I also bought a few small top-ups today and hope to be adding more very soon.

It should read it couldn’t be Eskom!

So the UK government are to invest £56 million in a new innovative battery storage technology. Well why not back a UK listed company based in South Africa. This could be massive news! It would be Eskom! But it is very likely to help Bushveld Minerals with there new Electrolyte plant for the new technology of VRFB. Maybe the UK is about to finally buy into this technology. Our story is not half told. You bet it it isn’t. If this technology gets this kind of investment from the UK overseas it will very much be good news for UK investors as well as the UK’s power storage for wind applications as well as the numerous solar farms.
As electric cars become a bigger part of the global economy how many car parks and places of work will be offering car charging points in the parking spaces. What better technology to install than a VRFB to store power collected off-peak. The Uk and the world will need this technology very quickly. Why wouldn’t the UK invest in the advancement of the technology. This could well be huge news for us.
For those with growing holdings and slightly off topic, but I see Aston Martin are going to float 25% of the company ownership, 1 billion shares at approximately looks like £1 Interesting that there pre-tax profit for 2017 was £20.5 million. That looks less than BMN? But a company valuation of £4 billion. Makes us look very good value.
Beautiful cars though. One day I might just turn a few BMN shares to “an Vantage”. But I’ll wait for the BE success first.

There were a number of posts I can confirm I reported. I think we all need to be really careful with wording and respect to fellow posters. Even if we are not happy with a post, we should not make it personal. It should be facts about BMN and working as a team to represent factual or well-calculated information. I am not at all adverse to people pointing out points which we should be aware of which may cause concern. However, there is no need to insult anyone. However, if someone is abusive even using language disguised by ** it is not necessary. We all know the English language and there is no need for abusive descriptions. Hopefully, the people who have been suspended or banned will learn that they need to be respectful of all.
Even negative information can be written in a way which is helpful and constructive. As investors, none of us want to lose and we wouldn't be here if we were not expecting great things. We are all realists and we know there can be challenges in any business.
Let's get back to the BMN story and move on.
So glad to have a respectful board back and seeing BBN back from holiday with his exceptionally insightful posts. There have been a number of very helpful new posters over the last few weeks and they are very welcome.
Let's hope we have a very good week and some more very good news which will move us to the next level.

Endion, Being Patients figures look very credible. He is also a long term holder. He includes down time and maintenance in his figures. Also conservative pricing on future V prices.

All the info is there. This is a phenomenal number and as share holders we should be very pleased.

So finally we have the updates. Both Q2 and H1 details. I have read the RNS several times today and the market reaction by the MM’s is always surprising. As I was reading I was thinking wow it is just over a year ago BMN took the first stage of majority ownership of Vametco and here we are with the figures translated mean that in H1 we produced 1360 tonnes at $65500 per tonne at an operational cost per tonne of $20194 or $45306 profit per tonne. This means $61.61 million profit in 6 months. Based on production output. The figures say we sold more 1403 tonnes. So that is $63.56 million profit.
If we turn this into actual for BMN this is $37.56 million or £29.81 million.
Excuse me, but this is a “Junior Minor” on AIM where most companies make no money.
This includes down time due to upgrades and maintenance which will surely happpen every few months anyway. If you put rocks through a machine you get wear even if every bit was coated in “Hardox” materials. The plant will over time always need work to keep it in tip top condition and things fail. It is not all new machinery. Consider that every plant has bad days when a line goes down. It is normal. Then we had the upgrades. All completed. You have down time here too. You can’t install something new without stopping the plant thar feeds it or it feeds too.
Now as we look forward we can see this year we will exceed 2850 tonnes, if we look on the low estimates. Then we have the increased selling price. If we take the average up to $74000 per tonne and leave operation cost the same as H1. That will give $153.35 million for Vametco or $90.63 million for BMN. Or £72 million profit for the year.
This is a great foundation and is just one part of the BMN story.
One key line in the summary “the presence of an integrated platform will allow development of downstream operations and product diversification” Potentially turning more revenue from Electrolyte production which we know is intended.
To Mokopone the company continues to explore the means to supply ore to plants in China and the rest of the world. You wouldn’t be doing that if you were not sure the licence was coming very soon. I am convinced this will open up a huge revenue stream.
So, is it a disappointing RNS. Not really, it is quite the opposite, we can see the future, we know the plant is increasing its output to 3750 tonnes per year with even higher yields due in 2019. The price of vanadium is likely to rise much more in the months ahead as the demand increases and stock piles disappear. It may rise faster if the Vandium traders were banking on our Q2 numbers being higher as they realise supply remains constrained.
Today we sneezed, but soon we will be fit and running at peak fitness just when we need to.
So now we are ready for the market to really see the bigger picture and see the massive potential. SP to rise. I think it is a sure thing.

That would be truly awesome if that was the next RNS. That would have us all as the world is now saying on YouTube “super excited”
What ever happens I terms of the unfolding of the news I don’t expect any disappointment at all.

Alfa, the numbers we are expecting are all in the same magnitude. These truly will be exceptional for a company so fresh. But this is why it is looking so good. I wonder if they are so pleased they are going to bring H1 results at the same time as Q2 Bushveld Vametco, so the world can see the clearest picture of this company’s fundamentals.
If they did we can expect the largest jump in our SP in BMN’s history of trading. Put this with a few other monumental news items over the coming weeks and we will be the focus of so much investment interest, the market will certainly be discussing us.
I really cannot wait to see what plays out.

Gambitxjs I just tried again and it is removed. It definitely didn’t look relevant. Unless they are building housing projects out of the profits. But they would have to have been super quick house to build then in just a few months.

Yes it showed a South African eco community housing project with what looked like a centralised hot water / electricity supply. But there was no other real information or narration. I wondered if they had attached an incorrect link.
Looked a nice place to live for a suburban community. No other comment is applicable really.

Multiple buys between 8:01 and 8:21 above 28p are all showing as sells when they are buys. Including 6k from a good friend of mine, who reads every last word on here. So we still have PI motivation.

Great points Alfa. Again it shows our strength and reinforces the position of Bushveld. We are closer to Largo than people think. Then when we factor in the opportunities in the future to add Brits and Mokopane we are going to be the largest producer outside China and the global market will be looking at BMN.
I don't think it will be long now till we hear our Q2 figures. But we have nothing to fear.
937.5 Tonnes if we assume $74,000 at an operation cost of $18800 so we can expect to see $51.75 million and at 59.1% that would give $30.58 million. Let's see what comes in the Q2 RNS.

Just as a reminder to everyone on Bushveld Energy's on VRFB progress:

Eskom Vanadium Redox Flow Batteries project:

· Bushveld Energy and the Industrial Development Corporation received delivery of the first vanadium redox flow battery ("VRFB") from UniEnergy Technologies ("UET") in South Africa. This included the mixed-acid vanadium electrolyte that will be used in the battery;
· The utility scale battery was delivered within months of the order being made;
· Bushveld Energy's team is performing all the integration work related to the VRFB at the Eskom Research and Innovation ("ERIC") micro-grid site in Roshverville, South Africa;
· All site preparation work has been completed at ERIC;
· Preparation of the VRFB controls for integration to Eskom's existing site controller at the facility is complete;
· Two technicians from Bushveld Energy were trained on the installation, operation and maintenance of the VRFB at UET's production facility in the USA. The training will continue during the commissioning process which is expected to conclude in July, as UET is sending two engineers to South Africa to oversee the process; and
· Bushveld Energy and Eskom expect to receive initial data on the VRFB's performance at the facility during the coming quarter. The analysis of the results will help to inform the technical and commercial merits of future energy storage projects.

Vanadium electrolyte production facility:

· Bushveld Energy awarded the contract to perform an Environmental Impact Assessment ("EIA") to a South African consultancy for the greenfield facility in the East London Industrial Development Zone ("ELIDZ");
· Based on recommendations from the consultant, a full EIA will be performed, rather than a basic assessment as originally envisaged;
· The EIA will cover both the initial 200MWh capacity for the plant and allow for future production expansion;
· While this will require up to three months for community engagement and other processes, the long-term benefit will be the ability to increase capacity without securing another EIA;
· An EIA is also required for the chemicals plant that will be co-located with Bushveld's existing mining and processing facility at the Vametco vanadium mine. This application will be combined with Vametco's overall expansion application and thus not add any additional time or cost to Vametco's EIA process, highlighting an example of the synergies of vertical integration in Bushveld's business model; and
· The project remains on track to produce electrolyte in 2019 for South African and international markets.
