Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Great news for all holders. It’s been a long time coming but we’re finally here. Fantastic news for a great business where the share price has been punished for such a long time. Totally different business now and lessons learned. Onward and upwards from here. Middle East markets will open and the future looks bright. Securing jobs and futures for all the employees. £3 very soon I hope.
Well done to all who held through this mess.
1. Hold nerve.
2. Be patient.
3. Have faith in your research, which is why you originally invested here (or should be).
It's only human to question yourself when you see the price drop like this and to wonder if you've done the right thing. I keep reminding myself that there are so many possibilities for this company and multiple chances to commercialise their research.
Just added again to average down a bit and just to make sure I'm not kicking myself when this takes off!
Good luck to everyone and thank you for making this a great board to visit.
Right back at you Snapper....... Old news but seeing as we're happy to go back in time these days.
Petrofac has extended $700 million of its banking facilities, which it says came “with the unanimous support of lenders.”
The extensions include a $610 million extension of its existing revolving credit facility to 2 June 2022, with the option extend for a further six months; and a $90 million extension of its bilateral term facility with the Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank to 1 April 2022. Previously, both facilities were due to be repaid or prepaid by 2 June 2021.
Pretty sure this won't be PFC due to the following 2 points mentioned in the article:
1. They relate to UK companies operating within the UK (i.e. they do not relate to overseas bribery).
2. The two companies will pay a total of £2.5m in disgorgement of profits and a financial penalty within 14 days.
(it would be a lot higher than £2.5m if PFC had agreed something).
Probably relevant if you'd posted this 2 years ago.
https://www.law360.com/financial-services-uk/articles/1411474/sfo-s-cash-haul-doesn-t-curb-questions-about-its-direction
Nothing new in here from our point of view but critical of Osofsky and the direction the SFO is headed along with the shambles they made out of recently publicised cases like Serco, Barclays and Tesco. Mentions the Lufkin/Unaoil and guilty plea while specifically naming 'the Petrofac case'.
It's free to read the article, just need to register for Law360 with an email.
"In the past 18 months, the SFO has secured convictions in the $1.7 billion Unaoil bribery case, guilty pleas in the GPT Special Project Management and Petrofac international corruption cases, and charged 18 individuals for fraud and corruption offenses. These individuals will stand trial and face justice in the coming years,"
"...five-year investigation into Monaco-based energy consultancy Unaoil, the case proved to be a bruising experience".
The SFO are a shambles and the sooner this gets resolved, the sooner quality outfit like Petrofac can get back to business, securing job prospects for thousands of it's employees
Good luck all.
Good luck to the rest of us and really looking forward to seeing some good news over the next 6-12 months. Patience needed and faith in what you set out to achieve with your investment in 4D!
Went to all that trouble of making an account in a company he/she isn't invested in just to bring us these pearls of wisdom on our 4D investments. Probably doesn't have any friends and is bored at home. Even if that's the case, how do you even come up with this as an idea to fill the day in. 'I know, I'll troll the 4D board on LSE, that will be fun'. Gave me a good laugh to start the day, thanks MB you plonker.
Somebody mentioned this on twitter earlier... With the 121 meetings happening tomorrow with IIs at the Alliance Symposium.
Wouldn't it be great if they had some data to share on 0518 to aid in these conversations.... RNS tomorrow morning with some updates before the meetings kick off? That would be lovely. GLA
Just topped up at 111p so averaging 105p and 11% of my portfolio. Won't be long before things come out of the other side of all this and those who got in now and HOLD will be rewarded in the medium/long term. Good luck to all.
Motley Fool usually publish 2 articles a few days apart with opposing views. Then in 6 months publish another article pointing out they were right (depending on which way it's gone) referencing 1 of the 2 original articles. It's nonsense and they charge for it!
Emirates recalling pilots back to work as they ramp up operations.

The article in the Times is behind a paywall so posting below.
Hyve Group
An international events and conferencing business, Hyve was hit hard by the pandemic when events were cancelled across the board. Shares are down 75 per cent since December 2019.
Hyve has cancelled its dividend this year and Danni Hewson, a financial analyst at AJ Bell, believes this could continue until next year.
Overseas travel will be restricted for a long time yet, which will affect attendance at Hyve’s international events. But the company made £18.7 million profit in the six months to March 31, despite running only a dozen in-person events during that time. Hewson said: “Cutting its roster from 100 to 75 events and sensibly focusing on the big market leaders will reap rewards and means the business is better placed than some competitors to weather what’s left of the storm.”
Lee Wild at Interactive Investor said that there was evidence of pent-up demand for Hyve’s events. “The outlook is certainly more promising than last year.”

Holding up well today. Red day pretty much everywhere else so it's good to see we've not pulled back too much. GLA
Makes no sense at all, not seen any news and it's off 5+% today. Just added
Patience is the key with this one. I've got 10% of my portfolio in here and feeling very positive about it over the next couple of years. Really tempted to top up at these prices but my head is ruling me heart at the moment and just waiting for it to go north. GLA
Looking forward to hearing the upcoming announcement on UK travel restrictions being lifted. I can't imagine there will be many on the green list but Europe seem to be keen on getting things moving ASAP for the summer season. Both Dubai airports and the Etihad CEO have been positive on recent talks with the UK and the US/Canada are hammering out the vaccine by the dozen. Let's hope for a bit of positivity on the back of this and a bump up! GLA
Insurance company Lancashire said gross premiums written rose to a record for the March quarter, driven by growth in its property and casualty reinsurance segment.
For the three months ended 31 March 2021, Gross premiums written increased by 46.1% year on year to $354.8 million
Great news on the upgrade from BOA. Let's hope a few more follow and the recent momentum continues.
Great to see this rise over the last week. Took a slightly larger punt on this one than I usually would averaging down to 109 so nicely back in £££.
