RE: Production January6 Feb 2018 01:32
Devonwolf, the pre-concentrate has not been "RE-processed". It's rather been processed through to the end. Maybe you know all this but it appears to me there is a great deal of confusion about what happens at the plant. The plant basically comprises two sub-units, the "front end" (well, I call it this way although in fact it's more than just the front end) and the refinery. Ore is fed into the front end and its output is a pre-concentrate. This pre-concentrate is then fed into the refinery and the refinery's output is a tin concentrate and a tungsten concentrate.
When the kiln, which is a major piece of hardware in the refinery, broke down, the refinery basically went out of service. The front end, however, continued to produce pre-concentrate. This intermediate was stored in bags. After the kiln had been repaired, the front end was switched off on weekends. The refinery, however, continued to work on a 24/7 basis and processed the previously bagged pre-concentrate on weekends.
That's why there will be no "extra" gain from "returning to 24/7 operation". The plant has been operating on a 24/7 basis all the time, with the exception of the front end. This is the only part that will gradually "return" to 24/7. Front end shutdowns did not impact production since previously bagged pre-concentrate was fed into the refinery while the front end was switched off.
There was no "inflated" production figure. If you want to know all shipments, just live in a campervan right next to the gate and count the containers leaving. Should be roughly 4 per week.
