Good post Rodney, certainly poses serious questions imo and lends to the possible allegation that this has become - in some part at least - a lifestyle company, sitting on vast assets but being run to feather directors’ bank accounts. Whatever happened to ‘shareholder value’ ? Nowadays I never know whether to laugh or cry :(

I’ve currently written this off I’m afraid as (another) bad AIM investment having bought at a much higher share price and currently lost most of my money.

Do I blame the management in the face of a falling rough diamond price? I can’t really but I’d have welcomed more updates.

But I’ve posted before that I reckon the Lab diamond market will expand. And I stand by my reckoning - and on that basis I think that the rough diamond market will contract.

I’ve also previously posted that I’d give it until the end of this year before deciding to sell. Let’s see.

Given the relatively high cost of buying a new Electric Vehicle (EV), would you be confident in buying a 10 year old Electric Vehicle (EV) - given that IF the batteries needed renewing, it might cost around £10,000 - ?

Seems to me that EVs are a great idea on paper, and have been massively subsidised by the tax payer to that end. But the overall logistics have been overlooked (EV vehicles are much heavier and wear out the tarmac road more).

Quady, I’ve never seen anyone really address on a serious level that could actually work regarding - WHERE do all of the massive batteries from EVs go once the EV is decommissioned/scraped??

Can’t go into landfill obviously - and we are talking massive batteries.

Would you personally buy an EV some 10 years old? Their batteries would surely be getting worn out - and a new set costs around £10,000 by all accounts.

Begs the question of how the second hand market of EVs can operate?

Hi Bozi, you certainly analyse these things in far greater detail than I do. And I appreciate your continued research.

But I hold my shares and have always done so, in the hope of a timely takeover. That’s not happened. I’m in a malaise which vast swathes of shareholders here share imo. Willing to wait and wait, but not investing a penny more.

PS exactly what EV do you drive Quady?

Quady please tell us what percentage of WORLD - CO2 emissions the UK currently emits, versus our WORLD POPULATION percentage.

We must be one of the cleanest countries on earth, and normal folk struggling to feed themselves and their children, don’t take kindly imo to entitled (well off) people like you posting here apparently telling us how bad we are for not driving electric vehicles

Let’s be honest, you & I have been posting ad infinitum here for years and years. We thought a bid was incoming. Turns out we knew zilch.

So if someone comes along and is a breath of fresh air imo, then I’ll tick ‘em up.

We’ve all got different takes on things.

I just wish things weren’t soooo sloooow here, and don’t get why permits seemingly take ages. SolGold wants to expedite things (or at least I hope they do), the Ecuador government clearly wants to expedite things. Why are things seemingly happening so very slowly?

B3ast - I really can’t see your pessimistic 10-20p prediction ever coming true.

Shareholders wouldn’t agree to such a low price, but possibly more importantly, a buyer wouldn’t be allowed to snaffle SolGold so cheaply - by other buyers. There’d be higher bids. Just my view.
