Will we really find out much on the 17th?
We already know revenue and EBITDA. Will have some news on ARPU, ACPU and new customers etc.
The real share price propelling news if there is any will be Q1 in April which may go to show that brokers have aimed too low.
Liberum did say they would revisit forecasts post FY though so we shall see
What do your propose is the figure?
As mentioned below, expected final - $35 million / expected special $100 million ish
So per share around $1.35 approx
From a well respected poster on advfn they saw a possible $35 million final with up to $100 million as a special
Correct, by the time of Q3 results in October it was clear some of the steam was coming out of the company, (even though we are still undervalued to our peers - reasons mentioned below). And it was all about 2021 forecasts from then on
Plus will benefit in strong and quick downward moves and suffer in strong and quick upwards moves in the market.
Something a bit gradual either way then customer income will more closely relate to revenue
The only difference with jan 2019 is that in the lead up during November 2018 and December 2019 there were a couple of trading statements saying how they were going to beat expectations for the year due to strong trading. That began sending the shares north again from the recent lows caused by EMSA to the top of around 1680 before getting decimated by the outlook in the FY results.
The company now at least have appeared to give outlooks which are positive, however more balanced and mature rather than screaming from the rooftops.
Likely around $1.31 a shard including a special divi
Only heading one way at the moment. £13 then £12 possible
Do you now think it’s beginning to look pretty sick?
On the daily headed for the lowest close we’ve had in months.
I can’t see what will propel this above the recent highs around £16+ Unless we get earnings surprises
Likely find out Q4s performance on Monday or at some stage next week.
Early Feb for FY results.
Hard to say how Q4 has gone. It’s still been volatile at points, fairly chunk drops in October followed by a very solid rise since US election and vaccine news.
Just to add balance, Liberum (house broker) is guiding for $140 million of customer income less $40 million of customer profit (trading perf) giving $100 mill in revenue.
Released in theyre latest update on 27/10
Good bit in one of the transcripts on the investor relation section of they’re website
Question: What was the overall revenue contribution from crypto CFDs in 2Q ‘19? What % of new clients traded Cryptocurrency CFDs?
Answer: CFO: Revenue contribution from Crypto in the first half of the year was approximately 2%. Crypto can have its own benefit, mainly from a marketing point of view rather than from a revenue standpoint. You could see that during the more relevant periods at end of 2017 and early 2018, this was about 15% of revenue at max. Definitely nowadays the range is much lower, we’re speaking about single digits, based on the level of interest and the movements in the market.
Large late trade of £15 million
Similar closing action on CMC and IG
Thanks Mark.
So what are they’re total projections for FY20?
Hopefully they raise them post next week!
Is there a possibility that plus500 have spent more on marketing and retaining than people expect prior half year
Also Mark have you seen the actual broker note regarding IG? Does it mention regulatory headwinds etc?
This is very true, however what’s H2 19 going to look like against H1 or what’s FY21 going to look like against FY20?
One thing to get this going will be a ‘trading ahead’ in the August interims. That will being the forecasts up for next year and this
Great results and one could argue severely undervalued compared with CMC and IG however the market cares not it would seem. Has always been undervalued and unloved on the sector and it looks to remain that way currently
You think a positive close?
Looks good for a move down really. Share price has been weak post the TU in July.
Pretty frustrating really but the good results are in the bag and now in the the past.
Its about future results now and they are forecast to decline in comparison to what has been achieved this half
