The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
MTC: Absolute pigfest.. refinancing says you are going to get diluted to buggery... btw we're bringing back the guy who failed and demoting the saviour... and we're taking on more debt. Market: NP, it's bull market, how does 25% do you? Honestly you can just long anything at the moment on the main listing and eventually you'll be OK.
Choo-choo here comes the dilution train: https://www.telegraph.co.uk/business/2018/05/12/troubled-mothercare-seeks-city-lifeline/
From retail gazette: https://www.retailgazette.co.uk/blog/2018/05/mothercare-post-95-drop-profits/ Not really anything new in that, we already new it was the lower end of 1 to 5m. And this: https://www.insider.co.uk/news/new-mothercare-boss-lay-bare-12519963 Again nothing new, but could be a kitchen sinking exercise. I would disregard the Shore Capital PR plant. I am expecting pretty hefty dilution from this.
Rykan: only in that the company stated news on financing before (and not on) the 17th. The fact no news on this could be out by Friday suggests it could be going down to the wire to be signed off as a going concern, which is usually not good news.
I see the pr/ social media team at head office has clearly been spamming every one to get positive reviews on glassdoor following the pasting it got in The Sun from retail staff. I wonder if it was a 1 May deadline because there are a flutter of posts then. Too bad they're all head office and not retail, it makes the coordinated effort all the more obvious.
The largest trade all afternoon was 13k. Not really anything to write home about, probably more MMs trying to create some volume. The fact it's 3 May and from what the news leaks are suggesting that the lenders are not interested would point more to poor fundamentals rather than afternoon's MM skulduggery.
In_My_Opinion certainly the length of time being taken is a red flag. If there's no Landlord CVA by the end of next week then one has to start wondering if there is any deal possible and admin is on the cards.
Mcap is approx 30m. Company has debt of 50m and has ongoing operational expenditure and is making a loss. I put it to you a fundraise will be in the region of 50m, which at the current mcap is mega-dilution.
