Metalbasher, this is what I cannot for the life of me understand, The State Governor stated some time ago, that he intended to initially build a pipeline from the North slope to northern coast (ice breaker tanker's) says it all!
Then build the infrastructure to supply Alaska with gas, followed by a gas pipeline that will be built alongside TAPS to be shipped to world markets all year round.
And yes it goes without saying it ain't going to happen over night.
Also he's already told the President several times that he can stick his ideas where the sun doesn't shine.

Just a point to ponder. 20 million gas boilers in use in the UK, realistically how long do you think it will take to replace them with an alternative heat source, and who is going to pay?
A clue might I suggest is why all the adverts to buy new gas boilers! Draw your own conclusions.
