Thank you. If this was a reply to my comment on how long for a full LONO, I was trying to be sarcastic.
It is normally 2000 hours for an Interim LONO but I had not realised that QFI were given one for under 1400 following the Maersk fiasco.

If you look up the trial on google it states that Maersk did not complete 1700 sea hours. An Interim LONO requires 2000 hours. There was no interim LONO.

Maersk completed less than 1700 hours of the 2000 required for an Interim LONO on a Wartsila engine, let alone a full LONO.
As MSAR was produced at a refinery previously. I would expect that if there is one vessel it will use MSAR on a MAN engine, as there are more MAN engines in the fleet. If a second vessel is used I would expect it would have a Wartsila engine again using MSAR.
BioMSAR is yet to be produced in volume so it would be reasonable to think that when the LONOs are completed for MSAR the new fuel could be available for further LONOs as required.

A LONO is for 4000miles on one engine. MSC has two main engine types MAN and WARTSILA so to get LONOs on both types, two ships would have to be used. I would expect that BioMSAR could be classed as a different type of fuel from MSAR so it may need separate LONOs.
