Acechaser. Very sorry but I can no longer attend on 4th April as car has to go into garage and will be without car for a week or so. Have looked into travelling to Hockley by train but it's a no go as living in Thanet means access is difficult. So sorry to let you down.

Hi Speedie. Many thanks for your response and I take your point relating to spread betting and CFDs. To be honest I have no experience in dealing in either platform and have always been scared of utilising either format due to the risks involved. I will research gold ETFs and go from there. ATB

Hi Speedie. I have followed your posts with interest and have a substantial holding of physical gold. I am intrigued by your trading suggestion but don't have a clue how to proceed or what platform to use. Do you utilise CFDs, spread betting etc? Could you expand on the process or suggest some reading.

I first bought in at 91p per share in 2011 and started buying more at 7p and continued buying into the low30s. Witng to release cash elsewhere so that I can buy more.

Ha, I can beat you on that one - first purchase in 2011 at £0.91 and started buying again at £0.07 and upwards.
Way to go.
