The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
it's all about playing the game at times..It was no coincidence that from mid morning yesterday PFP was being promoted to death all over twitter by the usual suspects, today hardly a word to be seen on it at all by any of them..They've seen the rumour on news coming, ran with it and enjoyed there 10-15%...Which is why I sold some last night...Not because I don't think it's a decent investment but because a pull back today was always on the cards..I've bought back again today as I'm happy to play the long game here but sometimes you have to take advantage of these little opportunity's..
Whilst I don't spend that much time on messageboards Red I will give you my take on why we are at these levels..When the company floated it turns out they were badly advised. The company believed the ipo shares originally allocated were in the hands of long term sticky holders...Whilst Chris owns 70% of the stock and Nick and friends and family own a few percent..The rest were not as sticky as they were led to believe...Prior to the lock in period expiring these ipo stock purchased at 1p started to be forward sold for multiple profit and continued to be dripped into the market after expiry...That's a lot of stock to churn and sentiment was very low...
It's my opinion that their is a lot of interest in Dev on the sidelines but people are sat back waiting for confirmation that these have been burned through (which they have) They also want to see a bit of meat on the bones of these deals.Chris has said that they will be breakeven in a month or two and turn cashflow positive from that point on..It's at that point that DEV will start to show the real gains from this level once confirmed..Personally i'm expecting a rns prior to Schools returning next week on a headset provider tie in wether that be with Lenovo or someone else...Fom these levels this is a great opportunity especially on the back of a very small placing at no discount taken by existing long term holders, which indicates that they didn't need to raise much money as they are still on course to achieve what they have stated...
haha That's a fair point I have been averaging down because I admit I made the mistake of believing like most other people, including the directors of the company that the ipo stock was in stickier hands than it actually was...Still my average is now back low so no worry their..
Of course your initial claim was I didn't know anything about the company.Of course now you realise I actually do,you decide you don't want to debate the points in question and bid me good afternoon...Maybe that's because you don't want to be shown up on what your knowledge of this stock and tech industry actually is....
With respect Woody,i have not just come into the company in question,i've been a shareholder in Dev for the last 6 months and have spent a lot of time researching this company, listening to every podcast and even talking to Nick the fd previously..So at a guess I probably know a lot more about it than you...
That said i'm not looking for a argument with you or anyone else, i'm just giving my balanced opinion on what the market is looking for to get the share price moving sustainably North after the sp was decimated by the badly managed IPO...You are correct they are picking up multiple contracts across all 3 arms of the business but the fact remains the market needs to see some proper valuations of them...
Like a lot of tech companies these deals are always difficult for the market to judge because they cant put any pound figures on them in the short term..They are all performance based and as such it will be a while before we see the true potential of them.A year or two these deals would be met by significant interest by the market, however in the last couple of years there has been a lot of company's and i'll use MYSQ as a rough example who vastly overestimated the returns and when they would break even and the market was caught out...Now they sit and wait to make sure the returns are there and the tech is solid enough to last before getting involved..DEV for me has a huge future and big returns are possible but we will only start seeing that in the sp once we can confirm that we actually are cashflow positive and the levels of income generated...That time is hopefully approaching fast so i'm happy accumalating at these levels
The problem is Zorro it's very hard to give revenue figures on these types of contracts as they are performance based so anywhere from £0 to the moon depending..
When I saw the placing rns my heart sank but when I actually opened it up I was delighted tbh..It's not a big one,it was at a premium to the price and the market can now discount that uncertainty of whats coming because until it was done this was going nowhere because they were expecting it.The ipo holders who claimed to have sticky hands while dumping have hurt this badly, but I feel they are mainly done now and for the first time in a while I finally believe we are very well placed to push North..
I don't post much on here, I say it how I see it and who's culpable which is why my posts are removed
I would agree with that John Henry, however I'm quite confident the ipo available at the end of this weekend are in a lot stickier hands than those who have been offloading them prior..
There is no distressed seller imo,its the remaining ipo sellers cashing in there 1p stock into any rise..We just need to burn those off and this will re rate..It's just short term...The important thing here is that DEV is rolling out some great rns which make the future look very bright indeed and I'm happy to keep adding when I can because in 12 months this will be a different story..Short term we could do with a rns that actually contains some projected figures in £..That's what a lot of people are waiting to see..All imo of course..
Certain people who were trusted in the twitter groups on ipo have turned out not to be playing with the straight bat they were professing to be on twitter and as a result sentiment is low, people are waiting now...However this stock has so much going for it and I have no doubts this will do very well going forward. The recent deals are great but interest will only really start kicking in when there's some financial meat on the bones to them..Forget the interims this month, they will only give the financial figures up to Dec prior to listing..Its the forward looking statement that will be key..Big future for DEV imo when the games have finished
There has obviously been a background seller this last few weeks, rumoured to be offloading cheap ipo. However a lot of talk on twitter saying they have now finished and the current order book does back that up..With the small float available any buys now will move the price steadily North..This is about as good a entry point as your going to see right now and with the increase in newslow hinted at by Chris at the presentation evening last week makes this as good a opportunity as is out there for me..
Yes a few still to show up as well..Strangely the ask hasn't moved though..
2 huge buys today taking advantage of that distressed sellers stock earlier in the week by the looks..
Been sold into the market, probably the same seller..Always makes me suspicious lol
Yes I agree,i thought that as soon as I saw it..Defo Bed & isa and cant blame them either..The good thing about Dev compaired to other stocks on aim is that the ship is tight..
I agree,it's just popped over 26p at the third time of asking..So if your going to trade this nows the time to get in on the charts..Still gutted for those watching people buy now when they have just been creamed..been there and it hurts..
yes I agree...this is 2 years away from a actual court case and a lot of twists and turn to be had in that time..I appreciate a lot of people want to give doomsday scenario to push it down but this will bounce to around 40-50 over the next month or so imo...but none of us know for sure so it's a wait and see..
Oh god Mannan's here with his cut and pastes and one week trade..As classic a sign that we are in trouble as it gets...
it most certainly is,I put a couple of posts up..One giving the reasons why I reduced my holding before xmas it gave all the negative reasons why.. that's still on here..I then put another post giving a few positives from the level of the price now and why from here I thought it was a good value risk reward play...That was removed within a hour...
