That's a fair point however the difference this time is risk/reward..If you were going to weigh up the possibility of great final news as opposed to bad realistically bad news is odds on favourite right now.Anybody buying on that will get in at a great price even taking dillution on fundraising into account...If it goes the other way and it's a great surprise then even if you dont manage a buy it's not cost you anything...Percentage trading
i guess that depends on what you call fair value..The companies value, as much as it pains me to say is not a factor right now for a while at least..The market is in control and i cant see much movement either way from 20p..People are sat watching, they know the wire-line logging will only take a few days so there happy to wait..RNS a dead duck and like it or not this goes 13p-15p not based on value just sentiment. If it is a much better result than expected then they know they can still get in a lot cheaper than fair value..In some ways it's the none shareholders sat on the outside who have the advantage now...
Yes thats the problem, this was a pilot well designed to prove up the formation and present to investors to secure funding and move the project on..Now even if it isn't a good result it might give them the information they need to narrow down the search. The problem is who is going to fund it and on what terms..It's the dilution that kills companys like this sadly...
Before the rns was released most people were expecting a terrible rns after the selling we saw yesterday. When the rns was released every social platform i saw was full of people screaming oil strike and pleased that oil shows had been located and thought it was a chance to beat everybody jumping back in..However when people had chance to digest the rns after the market closed they realised that this really wasn't great news and a lot of people including some oil experts started picking it apart...So this morning people ran to the exits knowing that any non commercial find would have this down at 13-15p...
Of course wire line logging is taking place and until then nobody knows for sure, they really didn't want to release any info yesterday but were left with no choice..
I've got to be honest and say i would be surprised if this well shows commerciability but thats the chance people take on oil exploration so thats fair enough...
However what really needs to be addressed is how certain shareholders were given the chance to make a exit before this rns came out, these weren't small trades these were big players and it needs investigating how that was allowed to happen..It is a disgrace if nobody is dragged to task for this..
There has been a marked increase in pr coming out of DEV on all their platforms singing about the America trip,i suspect within the next few days we are going to be pleasantly surprised..
Andinio,
I didn't see that and still cant..Can you put a link up for that please ??????
John Henry it's very easy to cast doubt at people yet you state your own opinion as fact..Now I don't know Stocktracker personally but I am going to take issue with what you say.I've been in various DEV private groups with him over the last 6 months and he's never vanished anywhere and has constantly posted and discussed Dev in them. The only time he left a group was when it became apparent that their were people in it who were held ipo who were saying one thing and doing another and trust me he gave all them both barrels, like a few of us did and left that particular group..We all know who they are...Yesterday there was a big seller in the morning, one or two of the naysayers were quick to assume that was stockbroker. In this instance I can gurantee it wasn't.It was a friend of mine who had a opportunity elsewhere and wanted to load up on them so was raising cash.He even messaged after he had done it as he is straight as a die...
Now I know that doesn't fit your remit of doom along with your friend some of whom don't seem to post on anything other than Dev while not holding but that's how it is...
The ipo has hurt us all and yes this will be traded by those bottom feeders who bought at 2 and under for their percentage but that happens on any stock..You would have to have been some trader to make money trading DEV over the last 6 months that's for sure..
Some of you have obviously lost money on DEV and are trying to make yourselves feel better with your constant sniping but it really is starting to wear thin now,as far as I'm concerned.DEV'S fundamentals haven't changed and if you know anything about trading as you claim you know this can go up just as quick with the freefloat in issue. The interims will give a much clearer picture then from there it will fly imo..
I really have high hopes for this share and whilst I realise that one or two are trying to post bearish comments on this board I've yet to see any substance to any of them.We all know the ipo was a disaster but we have to move on from that and concentrate on the fundamentals of the business and as far as I can see right now that's nothing but positive..It's my belief when the interims come out and forward statement this stock will be a totally different animal because with such a small free float this will fly imo..
tbh,I'm holding for the real long term,i have big belief in this company I've been doing this long enough not to be panicked out or listen to falsehoods posted on here whose only aim is to drive down the price with chat history's to prove it.Bottom line is Chris owns 70% of this company, they don't need cash and theres a lot going on in the background with tie ups with big companies who wouldn't touch a company like DEV unless they were convinced of the products...It really is as simple as that as far as im concerned..One year from now we will all be sat very very pretty indeed imo....
This is going to be a great share imo and it's not often I say that about stocks I'm underwater on.Some of the absolute drivel on this board over the last few weeks has been beyond belief. When fools like Manaan turn up you have to laugh.A long history of trying to bash shares to death then suddenly deciding there worth buying. He's got a terrible reputation for it as have a few other who have bee thing.I've been in DEV groups with Stocktracker for months and months and hes in it for the long run like me..
I've been a buyer today again to reduce my average but it's certainly not for the bounce,it's for the long game which i'm convinced is a bright future for Dev.Chris is a very conservative person and these targets are at a much lower end to what I think they will produce. So from these prices it's a no brainer for me..
One thing though I've noticed Capital saying that we are cash flow positive,I know Chris has said that was the aim for around now but there has been a very extensive hiring programme going on at DEV in the sales team and Heaton wont be cheap. The fact that wasn't mentioned in the rns probably indicates that these extra costs will take a month or two to show fruition imo..All good though value will out in the end here..
Looking back I'm sure that Chris would have done it differently in fact he as intimated as such, but he was inexperienced in these things and the wolves of the market sheared their sheep and took advantage of it...Simple as that for me..
I feel a bit for long termers here,i was in this for a couple of years, spoke to them regulary and something was always imminent.Eventually I realised that this was nothing more than a vehicle of lies to line Minty's pockets..It must be a real hard choice to vote to put more money in that family's pockets and it will bloody hurt to have to do that but unless your prepared for total loss whats the choice..
As for the recent price action, well I for one struggle to see the appeal.Afterall this will now be a cash shell,so far theres no project,no plan.It could be oil,it could be selling sofa's for all anybodys knows..However I always like to see people make money so I wish everybody well but a billion shares at 0.05?? I would be very concerned about getting left holding this for the inevitable sell off...
Regarding warrants,id take another look at that rns end of August and work it out...
Yes I get were your coming from mate.I take people as I find them..There are so many on twitter who post constantly about a stock for a day or two then vanish after they have taken 10% or so..To be fair he's been posting about DEV for a long time..
Regardless it isn't going to move the stock much one way or another, reality is as far as I believe that we need to put some meat on the bone as far as financials.Weve had a few deals announced without a revenue figure in any of them..The aim was to break even around October..Once the market can evaluate some figures and work out the potential from them, then we can move forward, until then we trade in a range..
Of course I haven't got direct access to his trading account but then again neither have you..However I've had a few conversations with him over the last 6 months in private twitter groups and whilst I do agree with you that ramping can get a little to much in his case I'm more aligned to think he's more trying to promote Dev rather than pumping and dumping as he's been in a long time and believes in Dev.Something I may add I'd like to see the new pr company doing a bit more off..Personally when it comes to pointing fingers at DEV traders for being very economical with the truth I'm more inclined to look West...
I cant say on other stocks but when it comes to DEV I would have to take issue with that. He's been building a position on these for a long time now and is a big believer in the business..He probably trades a few here and there but he has a big core holding he keeps adding too.He was as annoyed with the ipo as much as anybody..
I think we can all agree with that John Henry..When it became apparent that people had been misled by certain ipo holders about how sticky there hands actually were the game changed here..This is a great company as far as I'm concerned but it's going to have to be about patience.Dev isn't interesting many simply because the rewards here are not imminent in the next month..However every rns we have had has been a positive to the end game which I believe will be a buy out..None of the contracts have included any figures and the only thing we've had to go on is Chris saying we will be cash flow positive about now..I think things are shortly about to become clearer about that and I expect a rns on figures shortly..
Todays rns has fantastic potential,i don't care what anybody says company's like Lenovo don't get into bed with company's like Dev unless they are convinced on the long term viability of the product..Yes we are disappointed that the market reaction hasn't been what we want but it's the figures the market wants to see and that will be the driver going forward..My end game is to be patient here because I don't believe Dev will even be here in 12 months myself..
Yes no figures was the first thing I thought too,the market has grown hesitant to great rns without figures whatever industry it is,a few years ago a rns like that was worth 50% not anymore...It's a great rns as regards the future though and if your in this for a while it's a very positive step..
