It's a fair question but Riverfort tend to lend to more risky ventures ie oil exploration companies and miners who need to raise money to fund exploration drilling,If they hit then happy days but as we know most of the time they don't find commercial resources and they are left with no option but to issue shares like confetti to pay for it.
We are not in that position..We already have the product
Morning Guys
Like most it's a long frustrating wait on DEV but unlike some i'm really relaxed on it.
Firstly the results were in line with what we were expecting and what they said they were going to be. I for one am really pleased we moved away from the Aldebaron deal.Mainly because i think we need to stay away from these smoke and mirrors names where we have no knowledge on who is behind it although we could guess. For DEV to pull out of it they must be very confident that by selling the deals themselves it will yield a much better return than signing away exclusivety.
I think most people who had done enough research knew that without that upfront funding they would need funds to market and promote Launch my career. There has been a number of people connected to Launch my career muting a big launch on twitter in the next few months. The funding is there when needed and at 10% is about right..
As for the suspension and one or two peoples frustration with it, common sense should tell us to be patient. Since the suspension we have seen what has happened in the markets. CJ and Dev have said they are talking to a number of party's on product deals and im very hopeful they are with big companies. I want us to return with some of these deals at the same time to maximise impact.
I also note the predictions of a big fall on relist, well that's a strange comment to make when you don't know what they are going to come back with when they relist. People also need to look at the tightness of the share register and even if it does fall when it comes back that will be short term while a few of the small panicked pi's move out.
I've spoken to the company a number of times over the last few months and am more than confident going forward.
That is correct,Akers did sell some prior to suspension to pay a tax bill he has said. The vast majority though is just the dilution from the new shares as per veative and CJ rns yesterday..
He was then sold out and has been making a point of deramping it hard ever since especially on twitter. He's one of those guys who if we were blown up by a nuclear bomb he would raise up from the grave and said he called it.Nothing would give bbb greater pleasure than if this was to fail..He's very wrong. Personally i thought it was a great rns for Dev and am now going to retire for beer o clock.
I wouldn't take this as a given, some big shareholders are far from happy with this deal and will vote against it..For long term holders this is a pretty poor deal
yes, while none of the sanctions directly involves EUA the sanctions on the banks don't help that's for sure.
That said i'm taking a few more this afternoon, mainly based on my belief Putin isn't stupid and knows where to draw the line, he's got what he wanted and the sanctions in response are basically screaming "lets call it a draw".
If you've got something to say, say it? lol
Whilst i get the frustration about the suspension and calls for Dev to do a update, we do need to remember that it is to some degree not in DEV's hand. The prospectus has to be approved by the fca before we can move forward and they are miles behind at the minute..It wont be far away though and if i'm honest with how the markets have traded and liquidity being poor i would rather wait longer and hope it comes with some good news at the same time.
I take it Mannan has closed yesterday shorts and gone long then,,lol
Well that article quoting CVN has depressed my optimism a bit. They of course have access to all the information on the drill and are saying they are walking away even before the wireline logging has been completed which sort of tells you all you need to know about the commercial prospect of this well.
So where does that leave us..I think we can rule out a sidetrack for one we would either need to quickly raise cash and get thrown over a barrel on discount to fund ourselves or two get someone in on a jv but that could be a hard sell with no improvement on the attic knowledge.
A lot of people going on about the 12m could be commercial but i doubt it will be anywhere charged enough to be of interest after all the previous operator pulled out due to that reason.
We of course have other advanced projects to look at and hopefully they have promise but again we need cash for that. The worse case scenario is cash shell status.
Of course all of the above is just a honest opinion on the rns and last nights interview with CVN and there is always a chance until anythings confirmed.Short term we will see lots of ramping as the traders want there 10% but in a week when they have left we will need to see a plan on the way forward so those who were planning more long term can decide to stick or twist..sad
Thats just laughable Earl, either you know nothing about oil and gas drilling works or your just trying to ramp
And there we are i just posted about the same old names appearing on disaster days and straight away up pops the biggest idiot of them all mannan with his one word "tanking post"
This board today is following the standard procedure on bad news days like this. On one hand you have the trolls who appear with there predictions of a crashing price and impending doom and they might be right but it's the same old names everytime.Posters like Mannan who appear on every name thats had a nightmare day. They think they can keep pushing it down so they can get a quick 10% away. Then on the other hand you get posters who blame the board etc etc for there paper loss angry and looking for someone to blame and demanding immediate interviews and answers.
Oil drilling is not a exact science, you do the exploration, get the license,do the seismic and work out were the best place is to drill but sometimes it just doesn't hit what you want them too. I am gutted as the next man but frank;ly thats the game we play.. They would be mad to do interviews now, they will analyse the wirelines against the seismic and try and work out whether they just missed or the data was misleading in the first place, they cant tell us what they are doing next until they work it out for themselves and talk to there partners. In the meantime i'm afraid for now the longer term holders are going to have to watch the sharks swim round us snapping away in the feeding frenzy that a disaster day always brings..
Disappointing news today guys i was hoping for a lot better than that..I've only read a few pages of the chat and obviously a lot of people trying to take the positives out of todays announcement.
Reality is that it is very rare for companies to announce plug and abandoned on any poor drill results straight away. They will want to spend time looking at the wireline logs and then interpret the data against the seismic first. So you normally get a full update 3 or 4 days after the initial announcement. While i would like to remain positive i would be very surprised if 12m of nett pay would be commercial but we can hope. There certainly wont be a sidetrack the company doesn't have the funds for it regardless..Dont want to sound pessimistic as there is always a chance, i've seen oil to water, and vice versa over the years on these announcement but my gut feeling on this is it's a duster.
Littelesthobbo I'm guessing you are quite new to this game else you would know that there are many ways and investment vehicles to get around having to tr1 holdings at all levels..
The webinar will be recorded and put on the website..
Afternoon Gents
Obviously everybody is looking at the sp and for once me included. It's vital that we stay over the required price that automatically triggers those warrants at 30p. I dont think we have much to worry about there, the large shareholders will make sure they support the price to make sure that happens as they have done today. That will give us a new floor level and support and further negates any small risk of fundraising not that there is any.
I would caution everybody on the year end results from last year.Reality is they are not going to be sparkling and i never expected them to be. After all Dev have already said q1 revenues outstrip the whole of the previous year already.
What will be of real interest is any forward looking statement or the live company presentation, in case anybody cant actually listen to it live it will be recorded and put on the website. Will we get a rns prior to that to reveal the market sensitive stuff prior to presentation, who knows.
Strategically yesterdays announcement is one that wont have got many pulses racing however that was big news and you only have to look at the people on the panel to understand those peoples commitment to developing there long term partnerships with Dev.
All in all i really couldn't be any happier with how things are going. The only thing at the back of my mind is what they need this large influx of finance for? Could be for ongoing development or it could be for a aquisition that might join some dots .We will have to see but i'm happy to sit back and let it play out. It's my number 1 holding now by far.
Thanks Frayan appreciate the comment.. I'm not one for daily posts on message boards and because i'm a invester rather than a trader the sp is irrelevent to me for at least another 12 months so i only tend to comment on the material news per say..Have a great day all..
Do you know as many years as I have had in this game the stupidity of some people never fails to amaze me and once again both on here and twitter it's evident. Posters try to use traders language to make it appear they know what there talking about but then post things that make them look proper idiots, like the placing claims this morning. Something the whole market has known about for months..
Today is one of the most important Days in DEV's history and really opens us up now. No institution was ever going to add Dev without a fca approved prospectus and we have it. A fact not lost on people like Alan Duff who has already posted that he will be talking to them now and pushing us.Edtech is forecast to be one of the biggest growth sectors there is and they will want a piece of that.
It also paves the way for newsflow, one of the big problems DEV has had is that the FCA needs to approve the prospectus and it has to be up to date. And with the speed of how things have progressed it's been back and forwards. I have absolutely no doubts that certain newsflow which has been held back for that reason can now be released..
I have said many times when asked on here that the sp is irrelevent to me at this stage as i'm in for the long term. However while i expect the sell on news brigade to take there profits today and a slight pullback it wont last long. Our billionaire will want his 30p shares and he will do what he has done at AAA and buy open market to get it over the price he needs to qualify for them.
All in all it's exciting times ahead and with a massive percentage of the stock in tight fingers we are sat very pretty indeed.
