yep at least we don't have an oil field on our books, other than a much cheaper commute to work I'm struggling with the positives though. Fingers crossed it mirrors 2019 and also fails to restart this November. I'm not sure how SARs behaved, but I believed it simply tailed off after 1 year from memory.

Also not sure about the success of a vaccine as the cost maybe too high and because it would be a novel vaccine I'm guessing that uptake would be low for a variety of reasons.

Yeah I think they also use bats to study how their immune systems respond to viruses, as they have an uncanny knack of carrying different viruses but not exhibiting any negative symptoms. I reckon someone will make some dosh out of this with a successful vaccine though. Should be easy to get human volunteers with all the panic.

I didn't realise this fully but normal flu appears much more deadlier than Coronavirus with recent 30- 60k deaths annually just in the US alone:

However I suppose the market reaction is justified to some extent, as at least we have vaccines in place to help tackle seasonal flu.
