My feeling is of a deal of uncertainty over next 6 weeks which could keep SP tethered.

I will be adding another decent chunk in 4 weeks. I could put it in now but prefer to collect both Dividends there and then here. I would like this to stay around this figure or drop until then. What are the chances?

I had a dabble in politics years ago and it was an eye opener. So much tax payers money spent on lunches etc. And that's the tip of the iceberg. There is a very sad location in Ukraine that I visited years ago. It's a wall covered in bullet holes (enough said) but I can think of a very good use for that location these days.

Interesting to read your thoughts and although it doesn't always go to plan seems you are on the right track. I am far too dangerous to be left alone where trading is concerned I take chances and thank God for miracles I am still around after all these years. My policy is to give some of my cash to an imaginary Aunt who despite my pleading refuses to advance me anything she thinks is dodgy. She insisted on selling her share when it was 628. Saved my bacon. Can't say I like her though :-)

Admittedly we have a long way to go. But this 5%+ is more than Brexit news. As I say "keep calm and keep buggering on" we shall get there our band of brothers. ;-)

StY. Personally IMHO it's a bit of each. There is a possibility that maybe just maybe Brexit direction will be clarified and entice buyers to UK. That is relief for some but certainly not shorters who prefer panic and uncertainty. So shorts over 7% could become hot potatoes and better to reduce. On the other hand stocks are improving generally today which is not due to shorted stocks being reduced.

However to clarify "unlikely" is quite different to "firmly off"

It's not off the table. The legal situation is still UK leaves on 29th irrespective. There is still work to be done on that front.
