Ditto, Pogo, no offence.
Some of us are playing a far longer game and not desperate for a quick buck. The notion that The Bottle Yard Studios is financially struggling is unfounded. Recent developments indicate that the studio is not only operational but expanding. For example, it underwent significant upgrades in 2022 and continues to host major productions such as BBC's *The Outlaws* and other high-profile series. Additionally, the studio contributes over £20 million annually to the local economy, demonstrating its continued relevance in the industry.
While there have been concerns about Bristol City Council’s plan to sell the lease for strategic reasons, the council intends to retain the freehold and encourage private investment to unlock the studio’s potential. Equity, a union representing performers, has raised concerns about the future, but these reflect uncertainty about ownership changes rather than the current financial health of the studio.
Given this context, it's totally inaccurate to classify the studio as a 'bankrupt' or failed business. The facility is functioning well, with no signs of imminent financial distress, and plays a pivotal role in the regional creative economy.
I maintain, in the long term, you are wrong.
Good luck too!
