Ah, the Oracle of Wimbledon strikes again, prophesying doom and gloom with all the certainty of a weather forecaster predicting a snowstorm in the middle of July! Let’s dissect this "wisdom," shall we?

Firstly, the claim that failure of merger talks, buybacks exhausted, and an ex-divi date will send ITV back to the '60s. Well, if we're talking about the 1960s, I guess ITV would be back to its roots, pre-Downton Abbey days, still showing reruns of Coronation Street and The Avengers.

And as for the Oracle’s take on global tariffs and economic slowdowns -let’s be honest, if every market dip predicted a 55p stock price, we’d all be buying stocks with Monopoly money by now. Sure, global uncertainty affects everyone, but ITV has weathered a few storms before. Maybe the Oracle forgot to check the future for a bit of love thy TV network?

Also, a special shoutout to the self named'Oracle' title - sounds impressive, right? I mean, if I had the chance to predict the future with as much certainty as this, I’d be charging for my advice too. But here’s the thing: when your crystal ball is mostly fogged up, it’s hard to call it accurate forecasting, let alone prophetic. More of a moaning Minnie day after day.

Evidently Trump's attempts to funnel trade to enable U.S dominance has hit almost all of the market. Defence sector stocks appear to have faired better . IMO, ITV would probably have hit 83 already if it weren't for the Orange buffoon.

In that post, WimbledonTom mentions, "I am now off to top up my tan for a week before Christmas. I will be reading your posts at night once I get back from kite surfing on the Atlantic as a way of keeping me out of bars and women's beds."

Additionally, he writes, "With buybacks ending this could easily retreat back below 55p and the shorters will love the fact that they can plant stories and have small investors put their life savings into ITV before wiping that money off the ITV valuation."

This reflects his view at the end of last year that ITV's share price could fall below 55p, there are many more examples.

As much as I want you to be correct, definitely is bold! If you're wrong, you will almost look as big a plonker as the man who predicted a crash to 50p before the end of last year.

The fool, still lost in his predictions, couldn’t see what the captain had known all along: true vision comes not from fearing the rocks, but from navigating beyond them to a brighter shore.

Pogo was right in that you don't deserve any sympathy. Pretending you were the only one who knew what you were doing doesn’t just make you look arrogant, it makes you look like a liar. The fact that you're dismissing others who took a different approach, without understanding their strategies, shows your lack of humility and stop pretending you're the only one who has mastered the market? BigEgo, yes it looks like ITV is starting to get recognition at last and if a deal with All3media happens this could easily double.

Tom is reaping what he's been sowing for years. So it's not surprising people are queuing up to give him some stick. However, underneath all this is a person deeply affected by past events it would seem, so best to leave him alone now I think.

Slownsteady, I agree that the Lloyds board is a cesspit of hate and misinformation and I would not like that to happen here. Unfortunately, Tom is of the same type of disruptive. You raise some valid points, but by the same reasoning that suggests someone can ignore a post that might be offensive if someone chooses to indicate they've filtered someone you could choose to ignore that as well, if you think it's time wasting or irrelevant. I don't really understand why that would be seen as a negative thing. After all, it's just someone dismissing an annoyance. New investors, especially the inexperienced, need to be told about people like Tom, and that they have a filter option.

Slownsteady, yes of course anyone can simply avoid reading the post, but also filtering is a good way of cutting out the garbage. It's there for a reason. Tom's constant garbage does interfere with grownup conversation, which obviously impacts serious Investors. Occasionally, he needs to be shown up for what he is. If it means announcing that he has been filtered then that's perfectly fine by me. In fact I might start doing it myself.

Filtering is not a childish feature; it's a necessary part of the site for a good reason. The constant stream of nonsense and negativity from Tom and his many faces is precisely why it's there.

No, it certainly isn't the same deal. ITV are taking the bulk of the games this time. ITV can generate good revenue from its sporting rights primarily through advertising sales during high-profile broadcasts, as these events attract large audiences and allow for premium advertising rates. This is a new deal and a very good one at that.
