West Pickel - the new Voiseys?24 Oct 2022 13:42
Like Havieron is to the Aussie Miners its looking more and more likely that West Pickle could become a very high grade nickle mine. If you look at the interview from Palladium One https://youtu.be/Z36XVBd1YOs they make many references to Voiseys and the high nickel grades.PDM Nickel Camp Including West Pickle Lake
Is this the new ‘Voisey's bay’, the PDM people are making these noises now?
Voisey's Bay is the best nickel discovery for fifty years and ultra economical. A bit like Havieron is to Aussie mining.
Drilling up to mid december then assays hoping to come out in January.
Surface is only scratched here, Archean geology goes 2000m+ deep, we aren’t at 230m yet. So several deposits could run deeper.
The ‘feeder swarms’ run east-west. FCM owns the ground on the west for several Km’s.
This is just the top end of north hemlo though, just one part of several potential major district scale discoveries.Key points from the video,
Video taken two weeks ago
3.26 Assays coming through, Neil Pettigrew says it is a ‘New Nickel Camp’ not just a singular discovery.
Area never been mapped properly due to it being a granite tonalite batholith, this means the area was not deemed to be prospective, granite not seen to be a good host rock in Ontario, till now
7.17 Neil mentions it is a Voisey's Bay potential lookalike, search Voisey's Bay, perhaps the best Nickel discovery for fifty years globally.
9.00 Exceptional grades, mentions the quote from their head geologist that it's the best Pentdonlite he’s ever seen. Core identical to Smoke Lake.
11.20 Sees the area to be a series of high grade lenses to make an economic project.
15.00 Interviewer who is a geologist admits he his struggling with the concept, really unusual geology. Very complex but he understands why the previous exploration was sparse to non-existent.
17.00 Block model screen shows how the deposit was formed and the feeder swarms that head east-west, remember FCM own 100% of the ground to the West.
17.10 Mentions Voisey Bay again.
18.27 WPL Core mentioned.
19.50 The batholiths confused everyone, usually you turn around at the batholiths due to them being dry but the opposite is happening here.
10000-12000 metres drilling with 4500m already done, majority of drilling to come will be at WPL. Neil laughs when he mentions this like it is a no brainer to drill there.
Need to listen to the whole event, very bullish and positive.
This could be massive.
To embrace the new eco tech we must embrace mining for battery metals. If you want to get the amount of metal required to make this transition to eco. You have to dig! He says “i don't think people understand the enormity of this”
We are digging!!
