The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring financial educator and author Jared Dillian has been released. Listen here.
Were are were we are at, LTH here, can we get back to thoughts on where RBD is going, where we see this going in say six months (infighting helps no-one) , only saying...
My lil top up earlier shows as a 'SELL' on here (LSE), Ive never understood that, however it seems commonplace across the board(s)??
DS1 - not quite. Planning decisions are taken by the Planning Committee consisting in the main (chair) by the leading political group of that authority. Ward Councillors are normally informed as a statutory consultee if its on their patch (ward). Anyways, to what planning application do you elude to (reference?) for I think you may have posted on the wrong board.
Egdon Resources plc (AIM:EDR) notes the release made this morning by Europa Oil and Gas (Holdings) plc ("Europa") in respect of PEDL143 where Egdon holds an 18.4% interest. Europa included the following statements; "Europa Oil & Gas (Holdings) plc, the AIM traded Ireland and UK focused oil and gas exploration, development and production company, is pleased to provide a planning update regarding the Holmwood oil exploration prospect ('Holmwood') on licence PEDL 143 at Bury Hill Wood, Coldharbour Lane, Surrey. Europa is operator of PEDL 143 in which it holds a 20% interest. As previously advised in the Company's announcement of 19 October 2017, Surrey County Council's Planning and Regulatory Committee met on 18 October 2017 in connection with a conventional oil exploration well to test the Holmwood prospect. The Committee resolved to defer a decision on Condition 19 (Construction Traffic Management Plan) of the planning permission granted on 7 August 2015. Europa considers that the Construction Traffic Management Plan as submitted to SCC on 21 September 2017 for approval satisfactorily meets the requirements of Condition 19. Europa will shortly submit an appeal ('the Appeal') to the Planning Inspectorate against the refusal of Surrey County Council to approve the Construction Traffic Management Plan and discharge Condition 19. Europa will also resubmit the Construction Traffic Management Plan to SCC for their consideration ('the Resubmittal'). In parallel with this Europa will undertake additional consultations with Parish Councils and residents of Coldharbour Lane to provide further information regarding the Traffic Management Plan. The Resubmittal and the Appeal form part of a dual track approach that Europa and its partners believe provides the best opportunity for a successful planning outcome and which will enable the discharge of Condition 19."
"IGas has advised that it intends to drill the Gainsborough Trough Springs Road-1 late 2017" - anyone have an update on this? I try and keep up with all all my holdings, apols if I've missed something. Rgds Reck
I wonder what is the financial cost of this inquiry to N.Lincs ratepayers, anyone know? If not I guess an FOI could be raised and i'm not sure residents would be overly happy when they find out, this is before the big Barristers are rolled out ?
RNS - "In a period of further progress, we were pleased to complete an equity cash raising of 5.06 million in November 2016, which has significantly strengthened our balance sheet. An independent evaluation of the net gas in place for our unconventional resources has given a figure of 50.9 TCF, which shows an increase of 180% over the estimate made two years ago. Our conventional resources portfolio contains a number of very attractive prospects, the value of which we are looking to progress in the next 12 to 18 months."
RNS 9/8/17 "In May 2017, Amerisur and its partner ONGC Videsh Ltd successfully drilled the Mariposa-1 well to a total depth of 11556ft (MD). A 7" production liner was successfully run and cemented in the well and an interval of 12 feet at the top of the 120 feet of net pay logged in the L3 sandstone was perforated in order to perform a short-term test with a drill-stem-test temporary string. The well was tested in natural flow over a variety of choke sizes, together with appropriate closed-in pressure build up periods to ascertain reservoir parameters. The natural controlled flow rate recorded was approximately 4,601 barrels of oil per day of 40.8 degree API oil with a water cut of 0.35% and 348psi flowing wellhead pressure over a 40/64" choke and indicated strong further production potential." I read somewhere the other well SOL-1 was to be drilled back to back with MARIPOSA-1 late 2017 ... could me more news arriving shortly? Reck
Jusmasel - Politics 1on1 - Cllrs positioning themselves... better the planning inspectorate make the decision rather than them, next round is a pass if not before next meeting. Agree the local protestors were way out of their depth and made 'emotional' argument whilst failing to address points (legal) of order. SCC took the easy route falling back on planning inspectorate and therein potential legal (costly) defence. I wrote yesterday EOG team need to be on it without further delay, one ball busting letter from EOG's barrister outta do the trick, they (SCC) are between a rock and a hard place, this will gain approval for the protestors dropped the ball and failed to address the specific issues sucinctly. Above imo, dyor etc etc Reck
My take on it - 'planning' is quasi judical and I'm no legal eagle however I'm reasonably well versed in council procedures. The arguments to defer were 'flaky' at best and wide open to challenge. Emotional outpourings from public speakers failed to address the (4) points on the table and meandered into nonsense. I would hope the EOG team would get straight on the case (tomorrow) and thrash this out, suspecting SCC have 'deferred' for fear of voter 'blowback' in a political sense. With item(8) and item(9) having 'passed' the arguments to defer item (7) further do not have any legs to stand on and frustratingly only further delay the inevitable 'passed' resolution. In the webcast I noted the presentation for item(9) HH more professional and concise than that put forward by the EOG team. With the advent of social media it's notable some investors were ahead of the RNS (3:45pm) and is a massive wake up call for all companies to rethink their investor communication strategies (especially AIM) aka the world has changed and companies that fail to get to grips with this could end up lagging behind the curve. caveat emptor, imo, dyor etc etc atb Reck
On technicals looks good moving forward noting overlooked or unloved by investors. I like the team at the helm (my perception) and considering top up. Would like to see further plans for future new product even if at embryonic stage / early days. More communication to SH might hold my interest further. Reck
btw reckless ;) and I believe I'm right tranche 3 has NOT been exercised (30 outstanding from initial 100 offering). It may or may not be exercised, I do not have an expiry date for such options and limited in my understanding of such. What this means for current or potential investors is open to interpretation, merely I share my thoughts, own research via RNS announcements and as always recommend all dyor etc and decide accordingly. gla all.
