We could get an update on SPA next week but let’s not forget that according to the overly optimistic amongst this community we’ve been due an update the following week since the 45 day review date slipped!! Nobody can predict given current circumstances so in my view top up the glass and chill.

As for an update from the FDA, forget it. No matter personal opinions, Covid-19 is the only priority for western establishments and nothing, nothing, else is of interest. Just look at the shameful way that non-coronavirus patients are being treated by the NHS in the UK.

If you need evidence of the pressure that the FDA is under trying to find a Covid-19 solution then check out the link below. Unless a link between Covid-19 and lupus can be established and, in particular P140, then IMM/Lupuzor will not get a look in for the foreseeable future and with good reason.

CS7, thanks. I was aware of the Macron invite but what concerns me is her lack of direct visibility vis a vis IMM. Pre 2018 FDA rejection slip, she was oft quoted and heavily involved in explaining her science. A very, very impressive lady and one of the major reasons behind my original investment (not the chairman in case anybody's wondering!!). I'm sure she's working behind the scenes with the Bordeaux team, after all she founded the company with Zimmer, but I'd like to see/hear something tangible about her contribution. Just a small worry!!

Eva, thanks for posting. I stand corrected but frankly not worth arguing about as so many other more important stuff going on with the FDA at present that keeping to their 45 day timescale must be near impossible. I'm relaxed!

I'm an infrequent poster but IMM lth and have been following recent discussions with interest. A pleasant change to read balanced opinions without the excessive and nasty ramping/deramping evident with so many AIM stocks.

With regards to the SPA timescales. The RNS of 27th July doesn't state when Avion submitted the SPA to the FDA. Bearing in mind that the 27th was a Monday it most likely would have been the previous week but when? Until such time as that is known there is not point in trying to interpret the 45 days. Furthermore, the RNS doesn't specify calendar or working days. This lack of facts is typical IMM/shifty Tim vagueness as all objective LTHs should know! Most business statements regarding timescales mean working days not calendar days and that is my interpretation for the 45 days.
Apart from that, don't forget that the FDA has more urgent matters to attend to which probably weren't a consideration when SPA timescales where designed and published......pandemic and US election of the style we are seeing today. Like it or not, Avions' SPA will not be a priority!!

IMO, the primary reason for Lupuzor's failure in 2018 was a poorly designed and executed trial specifically relating to the profile of participants. An SPA was designed and approved for that trial so it shouldn't be beyond Avion to prepare, submit and get approval for an SPA that meets FDA requirements. Furthermore, given the feedback from the 2018 failure they should be able to factor in concerns and ensure the next Phase III is rock solid. All positive.

I am reasonably confident about the outcome and long term prospects for IMM discoveries and developments. However, and there's always a however, I have two concerns. Like many holders, I have zero confidence in shifty Tim who, IMO, is a thoroughly unpleasant and untrustworthy individual. More worrying, and not mentioned for some considerable time on this board, where is Sylviane Muller? The P140 discovery was her baby and represented a lifetime's work for her. She disappeared immediately post the 2018 failure and has not been heard of since on any matter relating directly to IMM. She was the brains behind the technology not Zimmer and, IMO, IMM still need her and her team at CNRS. I would appreciate any news on that front as I feel that she still has a very important part to play in IMM's future.

Like you I'm a LTH of Opti and like you I'm not a scientist. However from what I understand the big benefit of Slimbiome is that it can help you lose weight. 'Ordinary' consumers are buying Slimbiome from H&B specifically because of its weight management properties and it's advertised as such. With the SmartforLife product, Slimbiome is just one of many, many ingredients with no reference to weight management. For me, the beauty of Opti is the broad reach of their IP in addressing health issues....obesity, high cholesterol, high blood pressure etc. and being a first mover with IP secured I want to see them build their name in that rapidly growing and increasingly better understood market sector. Yes, great news if it goes into Walmart but, unless it's planned for many other products, the return to Opti will be minimal and the company/ingredient gets no visibility other than through an RNS or industry journal which is only of interest to us, the investors.

Whilst Opti may see a good revenue stream from these product lines, it’s a real shame no focus on weight loss benefits with the inclusion of Slimbiome . Reviews don’t mention weight loss properties of the product. Putting on the cynics cap, I can only assume that to be a real American these days then you have to be obese!!

I think you have every reason to be worried. We've seen some spectacular rises over the last couple of days following the equally spectacular drops but imo it's a proverbial dead cat bounce.

Following the coronavirus trail, the next geographic region to be hit hard will be the US and they are even less well prepared than many European countries. That extends from the very top, a President who is utterly clueless, down through the health services. Another major problem is regional autonomy with every state able to implement its own policy. California has locked down but what about the rest of the country? Italy was/is in the same position with Lombardy locking down independent of other regions. Net result was that before the lock down came into effect in Lombardy many left the region taking the virus with them. Thank you Lombardy!!

Next week will see an upsurge in cases in the US which I'm sure will have a very negative effect on the NYSE and undoubtedly the rest of the world will follow. Just hope I'm wrong.

Eshaitan, I think you’ve been overdosing on H&B supplements! No way Opti will see 20 - 25%, not even close! Product flying though so should do ok as long as it keeps selling in quantity after introductory offer ends.

Nolupus, unfortunately yes but given the years of research and position at CNRS and her expertise in immunotherapy, I am sure that lupuzor will, in time, prove to be of benefit in the treatment of other autoimmune diseases apart from lupus. Given that the P140/lupuzor patent/license is held jointly by CNRS and Immupharma France then we should see some benefit. Very long term though.

Hopefully, Prof Muller will pop her head above the parapet before long and enlighten us on her latest research. IMO, she's the only person from IMM that ever talked any sense and I miss her balance, practical knowledge and objectivity.

Nolupus, don't know how you put up with the continuous stream of nonsense from the rampers who seem unable to consider any view other than those promoting IMM as a 10+ bagger within a short timescale.

Your point about IMM France makes sense although I'm not sure if the R&D subsidies apply to research funding outside the EU. Interested in your view.

Another reason for the Avion agreement being with IMM France could well be that the Lupuzor license is held jointly by IMM France and CNRS, the institution where Sylviane Muller discovered the P140/Lupuzor peptide. Given the scale of their investment and the significant risk still associated with Lupuzor then I can see why Avion would want to be as close to the action as possible with easy access to the research team at CNRS.

Have you any idea what has happened with Sylviane Muller? She's been very quiet since last year's FDA failure. Given the many years she and her CNRS team worked on the peptide and lupus application, I suspect she is still thoroughly hacked off with the P3 trial design and management

Belgrano, when analysing data like this in order to give a balanced view imo you should be looking at the addressable market not total market. Yes, India has a population significantly greater than the UK but the vast majority of population is not in a position to buy expensive supplements like Cholbiomex3. That applies to most other countries in Asia where we have agreements and there is no health service. I can't put a number to it but it will be a lot less than your post might suggest
