9.09 - NO. That is our great current danger. There is no need to allow a buyout; however, unfortunate events like a hostile bid at these levels are always possible. We have such broad assets in our portfolio that we are in a position to handle them separately. At some point it is likely to come down to greasiness of fingers - I would recommend considering holding our golden tickets to the last possible moment. It seems that here might be scope for some posters to acquire up-to-date views on AI. My feeling is that everyone is asking the wrong questions and being sucked into a very dodgy narrative. In the short term, AI might be helpful to Avacta; however, when the big change arrives, what then? VGLA

So, some posters are still stuck with a VERY limited view of our Avacta portfolio. I have always admired and wished the best to the AVA portfolio - impressive in itself and i hope it wull help millions. However, I'm here for affimers and the, presumably, incalculable potential we have here. I see no reason for a credible TO - licenses, yes, JV - possibly for individual elements in our portfolio; however, no more than that. My pref is that we go on as far as possible alone, then attract investment from part(s) of our incredible portfolio as desired. We are in prime position - we have what others want/need....As ever, VGLA

07.34 -very true; however, it will come down to who is prepared to sell. Do we have enough LTIs to hold the line in a bidding war? We have quite a few 10% traders - as useful as a chocolate teapot. Do we have any investor resilience for what is coming? As ever, VGLA

18.49 - a hostile bid now would massively undervalue our potential (imo). Of course, that is how our suitors work - level of de-risk vs future potential. I have said before that the 'dream' is going forward to become a major company with a progressive dividends growth policy. We are very unlikelg to get that far but we could avoid TO action with licenses, selling a portion of the company - and, what about the 'all important' affimers; still to claim centre stage........as ever VGLA
