Inheritance Tax: I believe Greatland shares attract " Business Property relief "( so long as the are an AIM share) and if held for two years at time of death are not subject to Inheritance tax. I may be wrong if so would welcome any corrections.
My reckoning of the valuation is as follows: Peer reserve value $900 per oz @ todays spot rate of £1.26147 + £713.45 5 m oz = 3567m However Newcrest have the right to 70% leaving 30% for Greatland = £3567x .3 = £1070m There are 3705 m shares in issue so value per share = 28.88 p share factor in the 50% risk factor and the price per share comes out at 14.44. Sorry guys but I am confused with all the dates for announcements Are we expecting something on the 11th June, Week commencing 15th June ,or 23rd July. Have we a definitive date or is it all supposition?
Outside of an isa if your profit excess £12300 you are liable for tax. If you invested in a shares isa (up to £20,000 p.a invested) you pay no tax on any of the profits no matter how high they are.
