Major stock indexes in Europe traded lower in the premarket on Tuesday as investors awaited the release of inflation reports from the Eurozone, the United Kingdom, and Italy. On the agenda, today, are the euro area trade balance and the German economic sentiment survey.
Meanwhile, in politics, the European Parliament will hold its first plenary session after the June elections. The session will start with the members voting to elect the president and vice-presidents.
The DAX fell 0.26% at 8:00 am CET. Concurrently, the Euro Stoxx 50 lost 0.31%, the CAC 40 decreased 0.29%, and the FTSE 100 declined 0.14%.
The euro traded 0.07% below the dollar at 7:59 am CET, selling at 1.08875. At the same time, the found edged down 0.09% against the greenback, changing hands for 1.29570.
