Shares on major European stock exchanges were mostly lower during premarket trading on Tuesday as investors worry about a further acceleration of the pandemic. In the United States, 54,999 people tested positive for the COVID-19. On data front, investors are waiting for Statistisches Bundesamt Deutschland to release the data on Germany industrial production.
The DAX went down by 0.22% at 7:30 am CET, while the FTSE 100 fell 0.23%.
The euro stood flat against the dollar at the same time, buying 1.13110. At the same time, the pound sterling increased by 0.09% compared to the greenback, with the exchange rate of 1.25035.
