Equities in Europe traded mixed in the premarket on Tuesday ahead of several economic reports that are to be released during the day. Those include the latest data on the employment rate and manufacturing in Germany and the European Union. The United Kingdom will also unveil its latest results in the latter sector and in housing prices.

Earlier, the European Commission supported the European Medicines Agency's recommendation to approve the use of Pfizer Inc. and BioNTech SE's vaccine against COVID-19 in children aged between 12 and 15.

The DAX traded 0.40% higher at 8:00 am CET. At the same time, the CAC 40 advanced by 0.29%. On the other hand, the FTSE 100 dropped by 0.10%. The euro stood flat against the dollar, selling for $1.22239 at 7:57 am CET. A minute later, the pound sterling gained 0.12% against the greenback, changing hands for $1.42266.

Over the last year or so when referring to assets Martin Horgan has regularly ended comments with a similar remark along the lines of.... “ the asset doesn’t meet the company’s investment criteria.
I never commented (more because I don’t usually, than anything else)
It’s like the ceo was using the market update to suggest “we’d sell the asset “ to other miners.
Who knows what might happen in the future.
One comfort at the current time is gold is on an upward trend, it may be resting yesterday and today but I don’t believe it’s finished.
It’s a bit of a pain that the share price recovery has suffered a setback but I think it’ll recover in due course.

Earlier, the European Central Bank's (ECB) Isabel Schnabel stated that that institution is taking measures to ensure the sustainability of the economy, still affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The DAX advanced by 0.46% at 7:27 am CET. At the same time, the FTSE 100 rose by 0.34%, and the CAC 40 increased by 0.30%.

The euro lost 0.11% to the dollar to sell for $1.21819 at 7:35 am CET. The pound sterling dropped by 0.13% against the greenback to change hands for $1.41897 at the same moment.

I’m disappointed with the last 8 hours.
What I was feeling was that patients and steady as she goes will rule the day.
The reason for my post is there points being pondered with no real evidence to back.
My attitude is the pps dropped circa 5%, with a couple of positive days with gold rising today’s loss will soon be recovered.
So I’m ready and willing to wait for the progress to resume.
Onward and upward... keeping a close eye for the near future.

Equities in Europe traded higher in the premarket on Wednesday after European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen remarked 50% of the European Union's adult population will have received at least one dose of a vaccine against COVID-19 this week.

Meanwhile, it was reported British Chancellor of the Exchequer Rishi Sunak is vying to propose a plan to further protect the London Stock Exchange (LSE) "on national security grounds."
