The DAX rose by 0.50% at 7:47 am CET. At the same time, the FTSE 100 gained 0.40%, while CAC 40 expanded by 0.49%.

The euro lost 0.27% to the dollar at 7:57 am CET, selling for $1.12871. A minute later, the pound sterling declined by 0.29% against the greenback to go for $1.32306.

Centamin are not flawless and for that reason I indorse Cowichan’s use of twitter to help keep Cey awake.

From Capital Ltd it is known that they’re ahead of schedule with the waste removal.
Does that mean that Centamin are ahead on the mine repair work, I don’t know.

They also didn’t mention that they have had a new crusher installed, yet here is a great report from the company that supplied it.

This too shall pass, I just hope we end this coming week at no less than at least the current share price.

Centamin published a life of mine report. Plus they informed the market that production will ramp up to 500oz plus, in two years time.
The only down side to their market release was that the AISCs will rise, and the market reaction is qualifying by the rise in costs. Of course the market being a market fines the stock for the higher costs but didn’t reward for rise in production.
The current price of Centamin is unnecessarily low.
It’s unjustified.

Mining income

Gold mining company Centamin (LSE: CEY) also has exposure to climate change risks. The mining industry is notorious for having a poor environmental record.

Overcoming this record will be a significant challenge for operators during the next few years. It could lead to increased costs and additional regulations, which would almost certainly impact profit margins.

Still, I think Centamin is well prepared. The company’s balance sheet is stuffed full of cash and gold bullion, and it is planning to ramp up annual output to 500,000 oz per year over the next five years.

Profits and cash generated from this additional output should support the group’s dividend. It has an excellent track record for returning excess cash to investors.

The stock currently supports a dividend yield of 13%, although analysts believe this will drop to 8% next year. Higher capital spending requirements could impact overall cash generation, but the firm’s outlook also depends, to a certain extent, on gold prices.

I see on the cey website that last year’s Q4 was released on January 19th
And the previous Q4 on January 30th
I suppose the calendar of events will list the coming Q4 release date sometime soon.

Institution bought 2 tons of precious metal in recent months.

Move comes amid increasing concern about the inflation outlook.

The Irish central bank has been adding to its gold reserves as inflation in the euro area runs far ahead of the European Central Bank target. 
The Dublin-based institution’s purchase of 2 tons of gold in recent months has ended a more than decade-long period of unchanged holdings of the precious metal.

When asked about the reasoning behind the purchases, a spokesperson said that the central bank’s gold transactions “are commercially sensitive and no further comment can be made at this time.”

While the institution has given no reason for the increase in its stockpile, the Governor Gabriel Makhlouf last week warned that policy makers cannot afford to be complacent on inflation. 

Central bankers’ appetite for gold grew in the first half of the year, with global reserves expanding 333.2 tons, 39% higher than the five-year average for the period, according to the World Gold Council, which noted strong purchases by Thailand, Hungary and Brazil. 
Singapore increased its gold reserves by about 20% earlier this year in a largely under-the-radar move the central bank says will ensure the resiliency of its portfolio.

Funny Walshe I’ve had one question that’s been bugging me for some time, it’s nothing to do with the ongoing maintenance of the solar system but power storage capacity.
I think I heard Martin Horgan give a poor account to someone regarding same.
He mentioned 8 hours, I got the impression that they have no kilowatt storage batteries and that the power has to be used nearly as produced.

I perhaps should have asked for answers.

Fauci: Omicron is likely not more severe than Delta
Coronavirus' Omicron variant is not likely to cause symptoms more severe than its predecessor, Delta strain, United States National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) Director Dr. Anthony Fauci said on Tuesday.

In an interview with Agence France-Presse, Fauci elaborated he is "almost certain" that the new strain, initially detected in South Africa, will not prove to be more serious than the virus's mutation first observed in India.
