THE EDITOR: With budget day less than two weeks away (October 7), I have several concerns that I need to get off my chest and hope that the Finance Minister will give them some consideration.

Increasing oil production cannot be done on short-term drilling contracts. TT needs three rigs drilling on land and two off the west coast drilling on a continuous basis to move our oil production back up to 100,000 bopd.

The supplemental petroleum tax (SPT) needs to be lowered in order to encourage Heritage Petroleum Company Ltd and other oil companies to drill more to increase production.

There are no plans for drilling on the West Coast next year and from October drilling on the East Coast will be reduced.

Companies need to be encouraged to drill exploration wells to find deeper reserves, and allowing the full capital cost of these wells to be written off against SPT is sure to have the desired effect.

Because of the country’s economic situation, companies have had lay off staff. The Government needs to say what it is doing to provide employment for the thousands of school-leavers annually. And the business sector needs the VAT refunds to enable some of them to kick-start the construction sector.

I think the Suriname concession is causing the present closed period. Info regarding the saffron drilling is out in the market. We’ve just had the half year accounts. There is an outside chance Suriname will be announced before drilling starts. Only 11 trading days left of September - this has bundles of potential, it’s going to be exciting.

I consider the next RNS will be DRL2 approvals and Leo flying out to Trinidad as he is personally overseeing the drilling. Followed by Suriname concession and then LK director BUY.
After that its Inniss-Trinity CO2 EOR and waterflood renewed efforts and 2nd well work over rig being put into action.
All setting up the business as a target for a take over - especially is execs are looking for lower risk plays considering the massive compounding problems culminating for US shale.

Remember Gordon at the AGM said the phone is ringing weekly with enquiries from the majors who are very interested to see the results of the SWP and if reserves are proven they will be on us. Potential onshore access to the great east Venezuelan basin ! Next 4 weeks are huge for this company

Progress Update Trinidad - Carbon Dioxide Enhanced Oil Recovery ("C02 EOR")

· Well survey workover operations at AT-4 and AT-13 have completed.





Predator Oil & Gas Holdings Plc (PRD), the Jersey-based Oil and Gas Company, today provides an operations update on its progress onshore Trinidad.

FRAM Exploration Trinidad Ltd. ("FRAM"), the operator of the Inniss-Trinity field and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Columbus Energy Resources PLC, has successfully completed workover well operations to survey downhole the AT-4 and AT-13 wells.

Based on the AT-13 survey results the Herrera #2 Sand has been confirmed as being accessible for CO2 EOR operations.

AT-5X and AT-13 have been selected as the preferred initial wells for CO2 EOR injection and production operations.

The well workover survey results for the Herrera #2 Sand are significant. Based on independent reservoir engineering studies and CO2 EOR resources estimates generated by Dr. John Tingas, the Herrera #2 Sand has the potential to contribute over 50% of the total recoverable CO2 EOR resources within the AT-4 compartment in the Inniss-Trinity field.
