That's one possibility (some hydrogen, as cracked ammonia is added to the ammonia-fuelled ICE).

Another possibility is they crack all the ammonia into hydrogen and the ICE runs fully on hydrogen. Just to be clear. This is 30 tonnes of ammonia throughput, which would result in creating around 5.3 tonnes of hydrogen per day.

AFC cracker is capable of generating 500 kg per day (cracking >2500 kg of ammonia per day). But AFC's cracker is modular, so you would just need to put 10 of those working together to get to the number mentioned in that Air Liquid post. Looks absolutely doable.

Sure, the price per kW reduces the bigger the system is and the bigger the mass or series production gets. Still seem like a lot of money though.

I somehow missed the bit about the price per kW in the L series. As the L series is more expensive, we can reasonably think on earnings above 10 million per ship then, I guess? Still... wow!

Not sure if this has been discussed before. If it has, I apologize. I didn't have time to catch up with all the messages today.

AFC recently announced selling a 200 KW unit to ABB for 4 million... Does that mean AFC would get 1.2 MW/200 kW = 6 times that number per ship (24 million)? It looks ridiculously high to me. Even if we factor mass production savings there, I still think that would be just way too much.

So, any idea how much could AFC earn per ship?
