they might not have even experienced significant losses if drilling with the correctly weighted mud? Lessons learned from Lincoln perhaps ??
I’m sure they will be concerned about losing your technical confidence.
This will only get going when big players start moving in. Unfortunately I don't think they will react to the sight of a flare - The RNS was probably only released due to the pic being shared online, if HUR had their way I doubt they would release anything until they actually have the figures to talk about. Have Spirit released anything ?
Positives though, from the picture it looks like there was a fair amount of pressure coming from the well ! Also perhaps renewed confidence in the Hurricane model map. I am confident that this well would be able to tie back to the AM - however hope it is surpassed by Warwick crestal !
Has he launched the life boat again ?
HUR and Lundin certainly have a mutual appreciation for each other. I wonder if Lundin is a potential suitor casting an eye over HUR? They have their own belief in this type of reservoir they might fancy a move before the rest of the industry players firm up their own.
Regardless of the earlier posts on this thread, do you guys not think the nod that all was going well with WD came from Dr T himself when he announced that Chris Cox of Spirit would be going out to join him on the Leader ?
Would Chris Cox and Dr T be going out to the Leader to jointly announce a duster ? ?
Is it easier to carry 100x 1p’s or 1 x £1
If BP really think the chances are against FB being commercially viable why they bothering to drill it.........?
Excellent ! faster route to production, real value will come from individual deals thus on each of the assets with hurricane getting carried to FFD whilst retaining significant amount of %. Glad the company isn’t looking for one big sale of everything. Spirit energy are a far left shout but still a significant player by no means a minnow, A combination of Bayern gas and Centrica, exciting.
I doubt it will be to run the turbines, they will more than likely be able to run off diesel and produced gas ( might be wrong) if that’s the case for testing the function of the turbine itself and subsequent power generation they would probably use diesel, which itself shouldn’t through up too many issues as they have been worked before. The more difficult side of things is using the produced gas as the fuel this can only be done when the wells are flowing and obviously producing gas, that is when dynamic commissioning comes into play, different pressures, temperatures and such things, the process to “refine” the gas to be able to use it in the gtg, all been done before so not re-inventing the wheel nothing to worry about.
Siccar point just spudded final appraisal well on cambo, interesting to watch the progress on this, basement play, shell have just entered (30%) into it and would seem to go in tandem with Chevron Rosebank, the more discoveries WOS and the increased infrastructure only good for Hur.
Agreed Longwait, A straight sell out would not maximise the value IMO
I don't think many realize the potential, the only other development close to the volumes Hurricane potentially have is Clare ridge. The majors are probably on one hand happy to sit and wait for the EPS and more exploration drilling to further prove up the concept of fractured basement however on the other hand hoping Hurricane over commit over spend and be back into a corner where they can be picked off on the cheap! Ever milestone ticked off the list is reducing the risk of this happening and putting the final price further up!
