There is not a bidding war on the airline.
Lufthansa wants Condor , Virgin wants UK long haul, nobody wants UK to Europe
and given the state of TCG they are going to hold all the bargaining and get it at a steal
plus this BOD cannot even manage the business of running a holiday company never mind getting a good deal on an airline

I disagree this is news I agree it is what I was expecting but a lot of posters are hoping the results this year will be better. This prediction is that they will be 30% worse than 2018 which was an awful year for TC

Or they could wait until it goes bust and then get it for a song from the liquidators

Thomas Cook Airlines were the worst UK airline for delays based on CAA in 2017 , not seen the 2018 figures

why all these delays - i have not had any delays in 15 years with easyjet, jet2, BA etc and yes even dare i say it as i hate them ryanair!!!!

thats is really shoddy - surely that cannot be allowed - unless its in their T&C's (dreadful way to treat customers)

I have always been able to find holidays cheaper even when they are heavily discounted (is bizarre that such a large company cannot research competitor prices) but then don't seem to have kept up with the times including recognising that customers are more savvy. Still rely on 'traditional' customers who walk in and are happy to have them do the work and pay for the priviledge
