about 43% of shares were even voted. there's your answer to what happened here.
don't get me wrong, i'm very happy common sense won over emotions. but 57% of the votes didn't even bother.

Gosden: Sirius says 62% of shareholders voted in favour, representing 80% of shares voted by value.

apparently confirmed now
check twitter -> Emily Gosden
it's not confirmed, but it's not a wind up either
again Gosden: "Hearing it sounds like Sirius shareholders have voted in favour of the Anglo takeover..."
well something appears to be happening. don't shoot the messenger, just copy pasting here:
Emily Gosden of The Times on twitter:
Hearing an announcement from Sirius is coming imminently... Hearing an announcement from Sirius is coming imminently...
you're hugely overestimating the level of scrutiny that comes with administration unfortunately.
you can forget a full and thorough forensic analysis when some third party buys the assets, will never happen.
just ignore these clowns. they know nothing.
they're not. that would be illegal.
something like this was tweeted but must have been misheard or mistyped. they must have been talking about options or something.
thanks
honest question: why oh why would boris use taxpayer's money to bail out shareholders?
i see how this is a big project and boris stepping in to ensure employment, regional growith, etc but saving those who bought shares? really? how's that going to go over in the media?
if boris does anything, surely he'd do it when thing is dead in administration and long after the shareholders have been wiped out.
well that was anti-climactic. we'll hear later today apparently.
no this would be illegal.
could be stock options and francesca misheard or mistyped, no idea.
Gina was approached, and said no. One of the questions they did ask.
she's gotten a charger from someone thank god
yeah, ask them about fundsirius.
"Sir, we've got 43 million in make-belief money from anonymous people who have not actually committed a cent, but filled in a random internet form saying they'll send thousands each. Why aren't we being seriously considered as a financing option"?
yeah, because the market crashing 15% in a week says absolutely nothing about the chances of getting hundreds of millions in financing. sure
