Tesco have just emailed all of their relevant suppliers saying the CF Fertilizer plants at Billingham & Ince have shut down as it is uneconomic for them to produce Fertilizer products due to the Nat Gas spot price. It's their main raw material. These 2 plants manufacture 60% of all UK Fertilizer.
re..but I have more confidence they’re going to be good.
agreed..
......could just be that in a cpl of weeks time all this carping (whether justified or not) will be history.
Seems like the stars are aligning in our favour and the 'happy times' will soon be upon us ..........

re..The company rapidly (in real time not AS time) needs to build up an integrity in the accuracy of its messaging
well said...it wold be great if we knew that somebody..(.anybody..)..at Company HQ...was reading the more constructive comments on here.
....there is a distinct danger of AS becoming a Dan Gooding/Paul Haywood MK3 in teems of credibility etc.
What EXACTLY is the point of this...?
.....seems that..and I'm loathe to say this...A.Smith,for all his brilliance etc etc etc is becoming a serial obfuscator...and one who is in danger of seeming to love the sound of his own voice..
I have done some elementary research on previous announcements,q+a sessions etc....have to say he is falling into the category of so many AIM ceo's etc....all hat and no cattle.
Seems to me that the cardinal rule of under promise and over deliver has totally gone out of the window,,,,,to be replaced by the typical overblown ego and endless increasingly meaningless long words to give the veneer of crdibility.
Pity.

The future of fish_ The investment case
Overfishing and commercial fishing practices are depleting fish populations. Intensive production of farmed fish has led to reduced product quality and raises key questions on sustainability. Overfishing poses a threat to global ecosystems. The future of fish and its sustainability will depend on changing production and consumption habits, backed by regulatory moves. As consumption continues to increase, an already-vulnerable supply chain will not be able to keep up. Cell agriculture is an exciting new area, but few companies are specifically involved in fish. In this webinar, the panellists discuss the future of fish, the opportunities and the challenges ahead.

No different to the reporting of most oil explorers, ( big and small ), when they update the market on drilling progress....regardless of encountering hydrocarons, commercial viabilty cannot be confirmed until flow test results are in, and also because of the collapse of oil prices a couple of years ago, compounded by the Covid pandemic, the performance of the sp here over the last year or two is no different to the vast majority of oil stocks from small cap to major.....in the meantime the CoS on the current well has increased following confirmation that they have enecountered hydrocarbons, and with oil currently sitting at $73.53 , those invested now are eagerly awaiting flow test results which could provide transformational upside from this rockbottom low, if confirmed commercial. Gla Holders....exciting times....Tick Tock!!! ;-)

what I cant ubderstand is wht AJW has repeated his under 5p statement and also why it is beneficial to anyone to keep the share price low! Surely everyone wants to see a rise and confidence return to the company?
Exactly.....
AJW....re.. in the BESG game plan the Share price must be contained below 5p using any dirty trick they can.
Absolutely dont follow your reasoning here....how wld this be to their benefit?....or are you implying that 'they' simply do not give a toss?
re..... Share price must be contained below 5p
Why ?

With Vladimir Putin restricting the flow of gas into Europe we should be praying for a mild winter
Russia’s Vladimir Putin is orchestrating a deliberate energy supply crisis in Europe by restricting the seasonal flows of pipeline gas, preventing the region rebuilding its severely depleted inventories fast enough before the onset of winter....

Methane: The other greenhouse gas
The Real Story
The latest UN climate report concludes that while carbon dioxide (CO2) is the main driver of global warming, another gas - methane - is likely responsible for between 30-50% of the current rise in temperatures. Methane is much more effective at trapping heat in Earth’s atmosphere than CO2 is, but it also breaks down much faster, raising hopes that quick action to curb emissions could aid efforts to keep global warming below 1.5 C. Methane is the largest component found in natural gas and is also emitted during the process of fracking and coal production. It’s produced in large quantities by farmed animals but also leaks into the atmosphere when organic matter decomposes in landfills. A report published earlier this year claimed that if existing measures and technologies were used more widely, human-caused methane emissions could be cut by as much as 180 million tonnes a year by 2030. But others argue that until CO2 emissions are dealt with, methane will remain 'a sideshow' and that attention paid to the problem must not distract from the bigger threat. So, is enough being done to prevent the leakage of methane?
Now the share group have lost could they now start off loading their position ??
