RE: When?16 Jan 2022 08:58
Fair question DBW, and in order to answer it, I will go over the landscape, to remind investors on here what we are doing.
This is big, really big. The PEA took a long time and doesn't have half the information the PFS requires. So we are not just talking about getting to a full block cave operation. We are talking about a plan to assess the best and quickest way to economically extract all the resources from the ground over decades. We are going to use the latest proven mining construction methods and extraction methods, not just what's available today, but what is coming down the line in the future. As civil engineering like all other forms of engineering is about continuous improvement. Also let's remember that the PFS is going to get us to a mine quicker and cheaper than the PEA. So at this stage we are not talking about a full block cave operation, but maybe an open cut to get us producing, evolving into a full block cave operation, where we get to the high grade material first, so I reckon we may be operating a mine by 2025 to 2026.
For me the importance of the PFS is the costs and time it will take. This I hope will inform some of the more knowledgeable investors on here, what shape the financing will take.
I disagree on the board surviving, as no one seems to accept that NM is still fully involved with Solgold and controls a significant holding.
