I made a note to invest here yesterday and didn't!! How many times do we all do that? :)

Hi. I am looking at this for the first time, and I'm no expert at the technical stuff, but I know some of you are. This has risen so much it makes me nervous, although it looks great, growing so well. P/E nearly 90. Rivaldo reckoned it was not cheap at 703 and now it's over 800. BUT..... I asked the same question about IDEA at the end of January, was reassured, and am now well up - and very grateful. So, another one that's still a strong buy in spite of all? A slight dip now....

Look at the variety of new contracts this year. Just scrolling through these posts since February there have been contracts with: a NHS Foundation Trust, 2 airlines including IAG, Chiesi - pharmaceuticals, village of Niles - US local authority, European Reliance - insurance on the continent, Impellan - "managed services and specialist staffing", ...and now UK railways. Could they be more diverse? Looks good to me.

Would I be right in thinking that once a company or group has bought and implemented these software systems it would be expensive and a pain to change to something else and therefore, like I hear about Sages' product, it is likely to be kept year after year? A moat?

I'm encouraged by the fact that in these recent contract wins there appear to be three different software systems. It's great to see them with products that are selling in more than one connected but different field.

Thanks, R. Helpful. Unfortunately THAL bit me! Both bought and sold at the wrong time. I hope you timed your purchase better than I did. Learning curve.... and you don't win them all. NTQ seem to have shown a real skill over weathering the downturn and turning off the spigots - which speaks well for them. Now what are they going to use the cash for? [R&D is certainly good.]. They say they are still "cautious" - makes sense. And they are talking of developing the markets outside N America, so with the R&D it sounds like they are still in 'digging foundations' mode. Foundations are good.......

It may not be a recommendation, but for some of us that would be a hefty chunk: and you got it right the first time. So it is encouraging!

..... just bought at a lower level. Looks a very good company, IC recommended, I like the business model, and I'm definitely looking for some cyber exposure. I just can't see how that isn't going to grow. Do you feel really secure about putting your financial stuff online??

Hi rivaldo, thanks for your response. I was going from the directors and dealings tab on the IC page for INSE, which had 4 top people selling a total of over 40 million shares, dealing date 3/11. I entirely the missed the RNS 28/10 which explained it (response to demand from institutions) - apologies. Anyway I'm in. Given today's 6.3% rise so far, I'm glad I did!

.... a question, esp for Rivaldo. On Nov 3rd last year there were 4 giant disposals by leading officers of the company, including 2 Thorntons. Normally this would worry me, but it doesn't fit the rest, and a day or so before you, Rivaldo, said "The good news story here will continue if the Thorntons wish to retain their reputation and sell further blocks of shares in the long term." So, can you please explain to me what was going on?

Personally I was thinking of the Foreign Secretary. Good for quite a few holes I think!

I get what you mean, Ezhik. Since about the same time I've been taking a course in how to invest - or not to invest - in AIM shares. Expensive course!! Some winners, some losers. As for pavements, I've done quite well out of them with BREE. It's been oil with THAL, fintech with TUNG, mining with WLFE that have cost me. Shan and Philip Hammond are right: boring is good. I hope Shan can stand being mentioned in the same sentence!
