I think this sector needs scale and the first sign of that will be liberation labs. Once production costs start to close in on traditional methods food manufacturers will start to take notice. However for cultivated meat they may be stuck in that middle ground like BMW, how do you push EV's when you rely so much on ICE car production, how do you sell cultivated meat when you rely of traditional meat cuts. So maybe its new players, like the Teslas and BYD in EV's, who will make breakthrough, but again it will be mass production that makes big profits and moves the SP dial. Small scale niche Wagyu steaks aren't going to shift the SP up. I think it's going to take years for attitudes to change but this isn't the Hydrogen car of the transport market.

Alternative food are swimming against the tide. Thankfully Liberation Labs will soon be showing what can be achieved. Maybe then the SP will move in the right direction.

ANIC is swimming against the tide. Like EV's there are a lot of vested interests against it. The market cannot be bucked and once lab grown meat and precision fermentation show they are less expensive and have many advantages over traditional industries it will take off. Ironically one of the groups they are fighting against are the veggie burger mob.

IF EWT takes 6 weeks from well deepening then why would there be an RNS tomorrow?

I agree, its only a matter of time until the market wins. The market always wins as money talks. Once Cell Ag or PF reaches a price parity with traditional manufacturing/production other companies will not want to loose out. Ironically I think some of the negative comments are coming from Veggies who see their plant based food being bypassed for Cell Ag.

Maybe this "protein-free culture medium costing only £1 per litre" is a market leader. But how much "meat" does 1 litre make?

AND perhaps the media, I've listened to a Cleaning up Podcast (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7jKzFXaEmJ4&t=1082s) and a BBC Global news podcast (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7kFU7_EGA6c) where the interviewers cast a lot of doubt on Cultivated meat. Both seem to suggest that we should eat plant based alternatives completely missing the point that Plant based food is already here and people are not choosing it. Meat consumption is going up in developing countries. This is what we are up against.

Yes, all the veggies saying eat Plant based meat are missing the point its ultraprocessed food. If you want to eat plants then eat them in their "raw" state which must be the most healthy. (Raw includes boiled or heated up but not smashed to a pulp and made to look like a burger, this excludes mashed potatoes obviously )
