Should have said in the previous post - up 36% on my investment in Card Factory from my buy on 8th March (41.6p) That was a gift back then - think it even dipped below 40p that week. Anyways not cashing that in for wins on a wave - ain't worth it - let the stock play and over time it will be worth the hold.
I ain't selling anything as I managed to get in the very low 40p's and won't trade any waves in the SP as that never seems to work in the long run - u just get burned. No my shares in Card Factory will sit in my SIPP until whatever time it takes to get the company back to a position where its leaner and more competitive than it was even before the pandemic. Tucked under the mattress and the mattress won't get an airing from me for a while.
60p average -well I think you will be fine going forward and seeing profit.
I bought in and out multiple times and only hold a small holding presently - average 41.6p
Good news for you today RoxH - Nice -Have a glass of wine or two this evening. Or even better - this lunchtime
V Good Update.
Cheers -
Rox - I want to move some money from my fund account to an ISA - . Bit of a newbie to it - but if I sell say £10k of my stock from my fund account (it does not hot any CGT as I am losing on it) and the money stays in my Fund Account as cash - I will then transfer that money into my ISA - and I will buy the same stock there - Thats ok isn't it. No issue there I assume. I don't have to abide by any 30 day wait rule do I ?
I remember he could not wait for the sale past April as he would need the money that's invested in EUA. I think he was involved in a house purchase and would need his funds back by then if the sale didn't happen. Obviously since then, the price has more than halved and it must be real tough for him. I am still in long terms - will wait however long it takes. 20P average - but one thing I have always said about investing in Mining or commodity situations is only put money in if you dont need it and are willing to be ok if you have losses as its a bit of a dream factory and not guaranteed.
I hope GeckoLovesGreed is okay
I remember buying into BATG a year ago and selling out after 3 months as it was still in the lower 1300n range and hardly moved an inch - come back in 2022 and its still there at the same price - weird share
Invested in both EUA and PXC - bit of TXP too - but with the war going on - the fall (albeit hopefully temporary) with EUA is understandable but was expecting my frown to turn into a smile with PXC rising at the same time.
Hopefully cheap as chips as I keep building up my funds in this - well unless the state of Idaho decides to break away from the United States. GLA
Card Factory will be fine. Just needs more time.
Its all about patience and how long you are prepared to wait.
Wrks has been shocking since the vaccine programme - and I am glad to have moved my money out of there long ago - think we were both in that but that has hardly moved since last summer. In fact I think it has gone down.
You seem to be more diversified in your holiday types than your stock portfolio
Over 800k+ shares in Card Factory
Wow.
When RoxH goes on holiday so does the forum.
Nice 8% rise - feel safe with this one when I bought in at 41p - just one to leave for a while and this will blossom.
Usual story - wish I had bought more back then - Lol
Hope u had a nice holiday RoxH!
This has been swimming in the same channel price point since the start of the year - but still think there's a 50% upside on this once a few Trading Updates and Results are announced - but it's always a choice and see more potential in price moves on the UK stocks that have taken a battering and I believe Cakebox and BooHoo have more than 50% rises within them. I managed to catch cakebox near the bottom at £1.45 at the start of this month - so within a month - its had a 33% rise - the problem with this that is common with shoe zone is the spread is so vast ... However I find S Zone also has a probably with liquidity in the number of buys and sells. Its such an ignored stock - Shame that ...
Bloody Ridiculous the spread today - cowboys.
Hey F Knife. No I sold out as I wanted to take advantage of a few stocks on the Nasdaq that I have had my eye on and are on sale. I also loaded some CakeBox and BooHoo here in the UK a few weeks back as they were on sale with my price assumptions. Hope you are well.
Yup it was a gift that drop -
Hope its sunny out there homeboy.
Good to see a shake of the Board and Executive Team - I think the family enterprise was growing too big and they didn't have the necessary skills when it came to finances and due diligence. These new guys will ensure that it is adhered too going forward so we don't have auditors reporting mistakes. Bought in large at £1.50 ish and am confident I am in a good space with this stock as it goes back to where it belongs. GLA
This is the problem with boards like this, people who are against your view keep popping up on here and then they start popping up in your head and give you the chills. They pop up for a variety of reasons. You on the other hand have done tons of research and backed it with a large sum. They haven't. You back your judgment. Remember that.
