Very much agree that there should hopefully be news before a placing to increase the PPS, I just worry if it will. I think/hope they will wait until an actual signed contract with Southern Oil before a raise, and with revenue coming in, I don’t think we will need to raise as much. Just perhaps enough to cover admin costs for another year (£4m) so a 10% dilution. Which wouldn’t be majorly horrid. Remember the CFO has shares at just over 11p if memory serves me right, so has a vested interest in a placing being above that.
Based on current burn of £4m a year and £4m in the bank, they would probably look to raise money in Dec/Jan. probably a 20% dilution at current rate. In my view this can be the only thing holding the sp down at this point. I am hoping a signed deal from Southern in Oct will push this slightly higher and we get another raise at 15p+. Under 10p would be a kick in the teeth. Anyone got any ideas how we can avoid a fund raise? I don’t see even the up front capes from southern oil being enough to hold one off. My only aim is that the sp is higher when it comes.
AFC won’t be sending PO’s. They will be receiving them. They will be sending invoices.
Very pleased with that, it’s as if they read the B.B. :). Must be decent amount to cover the costs of 3 months work, that’s a lot of professional services! Very exciting. AFC have officially made money from selling services. Can’t say progress hasn’t been made. For a 6-12 month buy from now it’s looking good.
Hi, Agreed the news was very positive and the right direction but without any confirmation of money received, studies completed and an actual contract signed we’re still in the same situation (practically speaking) as if an MOU has been signed. And that’s how the market has treated it. A few simple confirmations that this order is in fact an order and this will rocket. I admit myself I was too positive about the latest news, I expected the sp to be 30p on it, but reading more closely they haven’t yet confirmed anything. Even the deposit payment we’re still guessing if it’s been paid or not. Perhaps another month and we’ll have the answers. Until then it will continue to drift, but when that confirmation of an order paid for comes, you won’t see 8/9p again. Commercial contracts are the only thing here that will shift this now. Or a de Nora buy in. That would be massive. £10m investment from de Nora for 20% of shares would be lovely.
Completely agree with your points on news. I’m all for the removal of the QNL as it was mostly Adam’s opinion. But off the back of the recent order they could have 5 positive RNS’s such as payment received, scoping works begun, scoping finished, commercial contract signed, manufacturing commenced. Instead we probably have to wait 3 months for a signed deal to be announced. A real shame to see the sp back to historic lows on the back of the biggest news in 10 years but as I said before, AFC have cried wolf so many times the market doesn’t believe it. It’s a shame to have to wait until September for something positive.
Very surprised too. The news was huge, but maybe the markets fed up of AFC over promising and under delivering. The contracts not signed with Southern Oil yet, they’ve just agreed to take a unit based on engineering study and pay an upfront fee. I wish they had RNS’d the payment to confirm this. As it would be the first time in history AFC would make some revenue from a project that isn’t government funded. Be a big statement. Guess we’ll have to wait a month or so for a signed contract.
Was really hoping for this after last weeks Contract. Very positive reading, many projects have now completed successfully with grant money coming in. Also the pipeline of potential projects and partners is amazing. It really does seem as if we’re on the edge now. Key things for me is it looks like manufacturing agreement with De Nora almost done which I think will include a warranty, but the fact AFC are leasing the electrodes to Southern Oil makes a warranty redundant in the requirements of a contract. If they are confident in the electrodes they could do this for all opportunities. Very excited for the next 6 months. I’ve said it before but I really think this time it’s true. The difference this time is the order of a fuel cell driving things forward and the PR it has already generated in that market. A Go-To-Market strategy will be interesting to read when that consultancy is completed. Hopefully a good week ahead from this. People are very lucky being able to buy at this price.
That would be nice, I think they wanted this order out there before publishing them. If not Monday then looking forward to them in the next week or two
Left iii as this is far easier to scroll through every post on mobile, which is what I use 99% of the time. Going in and out of threads is not great for me, but maybe better for others. I think this will actually rise more tomorrow. The last big hike up after the positive (although a load of rubbish) QNL in September the price shot up in the day’s after the news once it had sunk in. I do just think the markets needs to realise the value here now and we’ll re-rate accordingly. Warranty RNS this month would be golden.
Hi all, Officially got fed up of iii after the update so have moved over. Been in AFC a while now and been following for around 9 years. I’m surprised people aren’t more excited about this news? This is what we have all been waiting for. I do almost feel the same though, as if it’s not really true, that there’s a hidden message of money isn’t being paid somehow. I really hope there is an RNS in 5 days confirming payment has been made. That would just confirm everything is fine. Any news now on warranty, manufacturing agreement, longevity of 4 years etc could really rocket this share. I added today after waiting a long, long time for this news. I swore I would not buy anymore without contract confirmed. I think the sp has a way to go to be fair value now. Good luck everyone.
