Gold just spiked above $2000 again

Good chance of seeing 20p this week on the back of this news. Fair play to Betts, he and the team have done very well getting the new mine up and running.

I wonder what this week will bring? It would be nice to get an update from MC on the sale. One thing is for sure, we are getting closer and closer to the big RNS!

Yes great news. I did say that they looked ahead of schedule after seeing the recent pictures of the new mill. Looks like we can slightly increase expectations for production this year. Well done to the team out there!

Spot on ISA - it will not be long before this moves up again. Nothing has changed except that the recent dip has made it more of a bargain! One day soon we may wake up to an RNS headed 'SOLD'.

polo I am not sure why there would need to be a massive gold price rally for CNR to raise funds to build a mine - the finances of the project speak for themselves at the current gold price. The main reason the BOD are selling is because they have no mine building/mining experience.

Haha, yep. 40p still possible by Friday's close but we could do with an update on the bidding process.

Indeed. I am staying put until an offer is made so for me, although the day to day movements of the sp are enjoyable (when they trend upwards) they are of no great importance. The BOD are 'confident' that a deal will be done and that will do for me! I'm not selling now when I could get 65p+ within days or weeks.

Looks like we need to churn out a few sellers before the next leg up. It amazes me that peeps want to sell now when an offer could come any day now for a double bagger or more. Each to their own!

Interesting Evraz - HUM seems to be the most undervalued of all the competitors mentioned. No surprise to me but it is vital that all continues to run smoothly here if that value gap is to be closed. I think DB has learned plenty about how to run the company successfully (from several own goals) so hopefully that will be the case.

I would also recommend HUM (which I am in too). Soon to be a 200k oz pa producer and looks cheap at the moment IMO.

16p paid so another move up likely.

Charts are suggesting 24p and I think that is certainly on the cards if all continues smoothly on an operational level.
