i think this maybe the reason for the move, I have just posted it on the Lloyds board.

Todays Dividend announcement and forward looking statement on future dividends has got NWG moving.

Will Lloyds do the same and mention future dividends? not sure Barclays did.

The 4p buyback did a number on this today, its like management got their bonus and decided fxxk the share holders

Barclays NAV currently sits at £2.62 is the share price anywhere near this? All the buy back will do is increase this amd the share price will sit where it is. The shares will probably be depressed whilst they carry out the buy back just as they did with lloyds

So the government could be in for a windfall in dividends tomorrow if NWG decide to pay up, come on NWG spread the love!!

You are correct and lloyds have issued more shares and we are back to where we started.

BARCLAYS should have paid the 5p dividend instead of the buy back, investors need an income that is how you raise the share price.

NWG report tomorrow hopefully they ignore the buy back route and pay up!! HMG stand to benefit from from this.

Weyland I think it may be area specific, once a specific group has been vaccinated they move to the next one. My mum 67 got hers last week.

UK shares are looking cheap compared to the US!! Banks are back to 52 week highs over there amd we are still down around 50% waiting for lift off soon

Lloyds seems to lagging behind NWG, the last time NWG was £1.70 Lloyds was 40p so some catching up to do
