I'm sorry to see that my concerns about Star Zinc have been proven correct. As a long term holder, I've gradually learned to interpret Bird's pronouncements (or lack of them) ever since the Concordia fiasco. Simple rule of thumb - when he's upbeat, take it with a pinch of salt; when he's silent, duck and cover. We're now back to a jam-tomorrow scenario, which is where Bird thrives, dropping seemingly lucrative hints, dangling enticing prospects. As it happens, I'm still about 40% up as a result of selling at 10p (when he went silent on Concordia last time round) and slowly buying back in. I feel sorry for those who haven't been so lucky. As a result of the latest nonsense, I now see this as a trading share which at some point will spike again owing to some Bird-esque RNS hot air before collapsing back exhausted. I can't honestly see it a genuine investment any more. Expect another jam-tomorrow project when the KCB plan collapses and Ka****u turns to dust.
(BTW, the explanation of the retreat from Star Zinc is preposterous. Was he not aware that there were schools and homes in the mining area until now? Perhaps his next investment was to be in a child-friendly explosives company.)
